  1. You could try getting the wheel retrimmed, google Royal Steering Wheels - they're well regarded, and can do whatever you want to your existing wheel for about £150.

Had a look only issue is taking my steering wheel off as I am not confident on doing that. Would be nice if they weren't so far away.

  2. Currently have exige s and looking at isf to run as second car.

Drove grey one today and seems great sound is fantastic.

few little stone chips etc and some slight rust/corrosion on one of the wheels. Is this common?

Car is 58 plate and had done 57k

Were you parked earlier on today in a laybuy near the enterprise garage near testo roundabout if so the car looked really nice.

  3. Any is220d drivers found any benefit using vpower nitro? I use only normal shell and refuse to put any other brand in.

However as I wanna keep my IS running sweet I was wondering would the vpower give any better performance?

  4. Hi all,

I have just had my alloy wheels refurbed and they were a mess before with really bad pitting. I got them back and even though they look amazing you can still see some pitting! Is this normal?

The guy said they were really bad and filling the pitting would just come off in time....?

Has anyone had similar once they have had there wheels done?

  5. Hi all,

i am looking to get my alloys refurbed to the
same colour as the ISF however I am trying to find the same centre
caps and can’t seem to find any.

Does anyone know where I can get them from
apart from main dealer as I am guessing they will charge a fortune.

    Thanks in advance.

  6. Take out warranty from warranty direct for 400 that covers almost everything as its got calipers problems aswell they seize up they cover that aswell I had fronts 1 done at cost of 400 so it's worth taking warranty out I got with car RAC warranty total waste of time but I didn't pay for it, iav had this warranty with warranty direct before on a merc well worth it so if ur really worried then it's well worth investing in this warranty as urs is low mileage it might b even cheaper

Got it from a dealer comes with AA warrenty. I was going to take out the lexus warrenty cover but if the warrenty direct covers the head gasket then I will do that. Would they use Lexus to replace the engine???

  7. Hi Joel

Welcome to LOC. My understanding is that Lexus have been providing an extended warranty, up to 7 years or 112,000 miles, provided it has full Lexus service history.

Have a look through some of the post in the IS forum, there are some preventative measures that you can do to somewhat reduce the likelihood of the problem occurring.

Hi could you provide me with the thread as I'm having difficulty finding how to prevent it.

    Thanks in advance

    Joel

  8. Hi all,

    I am new.

Today I have just purchased a IS220D SE Multimedia on a 08 plate with 54k on the clock.

Very impressed with the car but now looking on here I have seen the head gasket issue I'm now worried about my motor!!

I thought with it being a Lexus it would be bullet proof as I had previously owned as IS200 many year ago.

    Worried owner

    Thanks in advance

    Joel
