  1. Thanks heaps guys.... I tried the refund thing but the owner is on vaccations abroad somewhere. He won't be back till September. Can anyone please give me an idea on fixing costs and if I should do it from a normal japnese car's mechanic not Lexus dealer. I want to keep the car, the drive is amazing. Cheers
  2. Hello club members, I bought my first Lexus is200 a few days ago. It was running well for a couple of days but yesterday I switched on the heater and after a couple of minutes smoke started to come out in the air vents and temperature was in the red zone in no time. I switched off and checked the coolant level which was almost empty( I checked the coolant level when I was buying it and it was all good).I filled up the car with more coolant and drove home for around 10 kms, every thing was normal. I checked the car after being parked for like 9 hours, there was no creamy sign in the oil which means gasket is hopefully intact. But the coolant level had dropped, there was coolant on the ground underneath the car in a couple of places, one was straight under the engine and second one was under the left back seat. I got the car reasonably cheaper from the market. Please help me out on what to do as the Lexus dealers are very expensive. Is it radiator problem. Please help. Thank you
