Update from dealer yesterday to say car is now expected to be with them 22/10 , and don't be surprised if that date also comes forwards. Told them I have no problem and the earlier the better. Happy days !!

Hi all
I am patiently waiting for the delivery of my first Lexus.
Been a Company car driver for 18 years and have mostly had VW/Audi. After my 4th Audi I decided to try something different and the BIK saving LED me to look at the IS300h. One 24 hour test drive later and the decision was made, new Company car will be
Lexus IS300h F-Sport
F-Sport White
Lexus Navigation
Been reading the forum with interest and will see how I get on but I really enjoyed the demo.
Coming from a petrol 2.0tfsi Audi A5, but I'm no speed merchant and only do around 5-6k a year so the silky smooth, comfy IS was to my taste.
Sat nav isn't the best granted, but neither is Audi's really so it is just there for the odd occasion I am stuck.
Expected delivery is 3/11 from Fish Bros Swindon. Don't know why from there when I am in the Midlands and have Wolverhampton and Birmingham Lexus pretty close, but there you go with leasing companies. Really hope it comes earlier, you never know.
Cheers
Dave

Well.....................what a crap day.
Car arrived at 3pm and had been brought up to the Midlands on an open trailer through all sorts of weather judging by how dirty it was when it got here.
Fleet department signed to accept it but didn't want me to take it until they cleaned it tomorrow, but I said I would do it as I like cleaning my motor anyway. So off home in the car, getting used to all the controls etc, parked up on the drive and the cleaning stuff out. Car cleaned before it got too dark and time to dry it off nicely with a micro fibre towel................
two foot long crease in the roof
foot long scratch just above drivers door that has actually dented the roof as well
2 small ding dents on the roof
There may be more, that's all I could see in the fading light.
Fleet manager informed by phone, got to drop it off in the morning and pick my A5 back up before I got to a meeting in Birmingham. don't know what will happen as we signed to "accept" the car but it was so dirty you couldn't see the damage. I don't want it if it's going back to be filled and sprayed..............and I had waited nearly 4 months.
Seriously unhappy...............about to open a beer
