  1. Short term wish list chaps: Need to have: spare wheel to suit is200 Nice to have: black boot spoiler with light & sport front aero grille
  2. Having recently purchased my first lexus I thought it would be good to start off on a good footing and bring the car to the local dealership to have its health checked. There appears to be a lack of lexus specialist independents in oxford unfortunately so I may be stuck doing what I can myself and getting shafted by the dealer for stuff that I can't. Here's the list see what people think: 1. Rocker cover gasket leaking £60 2. Both front calipers sticking and break pads down to 80% £195 3. Rear break pads down to 80% £125 4. Near side right shock absorber leaking £260 5. Auxiliary belts and timing belt £350 Can anyone advise on a Oxfordshire lex specialist indie? Also, can anyone recommend a place to purchase spurious or oem lexus parts for reasonable prices? Cheers
  3. Thank for the info gents. Yeah it's overdue a service by quite a few miles according to its service book so I've got it booked in with the local dealership for Friday. Fingers crossed that'll sort it. I'll drop a post office the verdict at the weekend.
  4. Hi all I recently bought my first lexus and noticed the throttle was quite sensitive in low gears. First I thought it might be my heavy foot and I'm not used to the car as I've always driven bmw almost exclusively until this car. However, having done some reading it appears that this is a common characteristic of the is200 I've seen some people mention they use snow mode to overcome the problem. I would much rather tune the throttle response to suit if that is possible with the is200 I know the throttle is actuated by a cable and also electrically assisted, surely something can be tweaked. Has anyone any experience of this Cheers Collie
