  1. Little update. There seems to be various part no's for these diesel injectors. However I don’t think all the part no's are compatible? I want to try and understand if there was some kind of update whereby the Denso injectors originally fitted when the car was manufactured were superseded later in the production cycle of the vehicle? My car is fitted with Part No 23670-26011 On Euro car parts website they recommend 23670-26020 http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Lexus_IS_2.2_2006/p/car-parts/engine-parts/fuel-and-engine-management/fuel-injectors/?432820085&1&e3ef3327028340c284104148eee16928258ef17b&000993 These injectors look the same as those currently fitted on my car and have the tail with plug connector on the end of it. The other alternative part no that I found was 23670-26060 http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Lexus_IS_2.2_2006/p/car-parts/engine-parts/fuel-and-engine-management/fuel-injectors/?432820085&1&e3ef3327028340c284104148eee16928258ef17b&000993 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-DENSO-INJECTOR-23670-26060-/171317388999?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27e34fe6c7 These injectors look different to my current injectors as they have connector plug on top of the injector instead of the electrical tail with the plug connector. Now the question; As my car is fitted with 23670-26011, would it run OK if I were to fit 2 injectors with different part no's i.e. injectors with 23670-26020?
  2. Hello All, Having recently bought an IS220d I have been experiencing a number of problems: At the end of first day of owning the engine management light came on and when I used the OBD reader it gave out a P2002 code. I found a local company that had experience with removing IS220d DPF, blocking the 5th injector and wiring in the emulator. I took the car to them the following day and the removed the DPF. After a couple of weeks of driving the car back I noticed white smoke on cold star up which would last for approx 30-60 secs and then disappear when I drove off. I also noticed that there was little hesitation between 1200-1500 rpm on light throttle. The engine management light then came on again, this time error code was P0400, EGR fault. So I had the EGR cleaned and the error code wiped. However the problem still remained. Last Friday I took the car to a diesel specialist to have the fuel pump and the injectors checked. They told me that injectors 3 & 4 readings were not what they should be and they went on to remove them to carry out further tests. The bench tests indicated that injectors 3 & 4 were faulty. I've since done a search on eBay and I've found the following injectors: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Denso-Diesel-Injector-295900-0110-Lexus-IS220-23670-26011-/281070604115?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item41711d0f53 I also found some other sellers on eBay but the injectors don't have the tail coming off them like my current injectors do? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-DENSO-INJECTOR-23670-26060-/171317388999?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27e34fe6c7 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DENSO-Diesel-Fuel-Injector-Common-Rail-Toyota-RAV-4-Avensis-Lexus-IS-/231333796563?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35dc919ad3 Does anyone know of any other places where I could purchase these injectors at a more competitive price?
  3. Newbie saying hello, I've purchased a 2006 IS220d a few weeks and have been reading this forum ever since to try and find out more information about the vehicle. Needless you'll be seeing some post from me asking for advice and help to run this car. I look forward to chatting with some of you via this forum.
