  1. Hi your right , almost your neighbour , we live in the posh bit of birtley with a dh3 postcode Lexus charged me the costs of £140 for a diagnostic check to be told we only fit lexus parts and don't have anyone who does repairs . Cars very nice but getting on a bit and for a circuit board to be worth as much as the car it's worth repairing Could do with whatever help you have , attach a diagram if poss? My heads done in looking at pics only to find it's the wrong car Cheers rob
  2. Had the car towed to lexus , been diagnosed as the engine ecu , Anyone know where it is as I can get it repaired which is £1500 cheaper than the LEXUS STEALERSHIP. It's a 2001 ls 430 Looked around forums , found the air suspension ecu and the abs ecu Need help urgently 😳
  3. Back on again guys , not sure what the problem is but someone out there hopefully does. Key fobs both have new batteries from lexus. Can enter car no probs , all Elecs windows etc fine Red and green light shows next to the ignition , insert the key fob and both lights go out . Will not allow the key to turn , wheels are in the straight position and steering not locked . Wiggling the wheel or key does not help . It just fails to allow the ignition to turn. Intermittent fault which has happened again today so can't use car . Disconnected battery and reconnected after 5 mins. Did not work Any ideas please?
  4. Hi , brand new batteries in both fobs , supplied and fitted in fobs by Lexus , still intermittent, batteries fitted 6 weeks ago. Cheers rob
  5. Anyone know the position of the engine ecu on a ls 430 2001 model

  6. Got an intermittent fault with the Lexus , 3 times this year it's failed to detect the key and simply will not allow the ignition to turn , after leaving the car for a while , sometimes a couple of hours sometimes a couple of days it reads the key and all is well for months . Failed 2days ago had it trailered to Lexus who done diagnostics and simply said it will not read either key, I ALREADY NEW THAT BUT GOT CHARGED £102 for the privilege . There simple solution is to fit a new engine ecu at a cost of £1500 !!!!! She an older model now but in lovely order but that's almost the value of the car. Anyone know where the engine ecu is positioned ? And anyone know where to have the ecu repaired ? Hopefully someone has the answers as it's an intermittent fault
