  1. The raspiness is a lot more prominent than it sounds. Definitely makes it more responsive. However I am getting a bit more smoke than usual when the car dumps fuel.
  2. That's what mine sounds like and that's stainless dpf back and just dual tips on the end. Think it's 3 inch all the way through.
  3. If you use cruise control for the long journey. Stick it in 6th at about 75 and it's fine.
  4. Fair enough. Did you get the tuning box before the sprint booster?
  5. You had it on a dyno? Or got a rough idea of bhp?
  6. Well I've already got the panel filter and stainless anyway and it's made a big difference without anything. I'm dubious anyway because if no one else can do it I don't really trust anyone else and I'm sure he won't pay for a new ecu if he ******s it. The only add ons I know of that people have used is the sprint booster and then the usual diesel tuning boxes.
  7. I've just checked the company website he uses and it actually says they only use a "v box" so I imagine he might be telling porkies. Or may of got confused.
  8. That's what I thought. He hasent said that he's done any. But he claims figures 38 bhp gain and a 70 nm of torque. However if you've got a stainless and a panel filter. Would be closer to 60 bhp is what he claims. Again don't have any rolling road proof or even anything saying that he can actually do it. But like you said you would of thought that some of the big remapers would of done it.
  9. Just found a guy on Facebook who does mobile remapping. His name is dc mapping and says that he can remap a is220d and 200's said to me 100% can be done. Just wanted to put it out there and see if anyone would be interested. I'd be going the end of the month if I could afford it. He said with a dpf delete £600. Thoughts?
  10. Ah right okay. Might give it a bash. Found some flexi drls that also double as indicators so might get some and see if I can keep them in a decent position. Thanks for the help guys. Probably easier option Aswel rather than replacing projectors
  11. Okay thanks for your help. Take it just a soldering iron to open up the headlights and then just take it from there? Do they need to be a specific size or anything. Thanks
  12. Ah I didn't know about loosing the self levelling. I kinda guessed there supposed to be retro fitted. Just thought maybe some angel eyes or drls attached to the projectors would look pretty smart. Just didn't know about the diameter either. Or if anyone had done it before.
  13. I've got a custom made exhaust with a twin tip. Have a look at top gear exhausts. There country wide and sell different tips.
  14. The rules for hids are that they need to be projectors. The lenses are made of glass and that they are self levelling and also that you have washers. However I dont think that police will actually pull you over unless you don't have projectors. And passing an mot will be fine anyways. I have 10000k fitted and there amazing. So bright and easy to see. No issues with fog.
  15. Yea was a bit of a poo video. Hard to get it on that road. And the wife is ******* a videoing things or driving. Aha. Yea it's because the ecu is uncrackable. From what I know. The security is too strong. However you can buy something that bypasses the dpf and tricks the ecu into thinking that the dpf is new and there. But i think its only for errors. Not 100%
  16. I didn't think that could be done because you need to remap it if you remove dpf and blank the egr. Not 100% on that though. I'll upload it to YouTube later
  17. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1577292662484043&l=4098506496674029944 heres a little video bit hard to hear the sound but the raspyness in it is there over 2k revs
  18. Dunno haven't tried it ;) the two boxes are actually silencers not cats. So it should be fine because the dpf does most the work.
  19. My whole system is 3inch stainless. Make sure you can fit it in the gap it's quite a small hole. But an angled can would look sweet.
  20. theres a pic sorry about the size ill get a video a bit later just got the kids for the day :)
  21. I've hidden one next to the air box and the other next to the washer fluid pipe. Easy to fit. Just move the airbox to get to that side. And the washer filler pipe Aswel. Yea removed the 2 silencers. And the rear box. Got one straight pipe from the dpf then small silencer about 30cm long then single pipe to the back. So much lighter and sounds different and is a little more responsive.
  22. Yes mate as long as you get canbus error free. You get a small box and some wires. You put two into the bulb plug and then hook the rest to the box. Put a hole into the plastic of the headlight cover and thread the wires through. Pretty easy. :)
  23. Because you can't remap it you can't remove the dpf. So I've gone back to there. And I've only got a small silencer in it. Well worth it. Sounds really nice. ( well I think so). The engine is quiet. Sounds raspy it's quite loud Aswel
  24. Just finished changing all my bulbs up to 10000k hids. Got a k and n panel filter and just looking now to get the 19s refurberd as the wife decided to kiss a few curbs. 😡 still probably going to look to get the tdi tuning box. Levi did you go to there workshop to get it fitted? I'll upload a video tomorrow of what the custom exhaust sounds like. Only cost about £400 and I'm sure it's actually cheaper than genuine Lexus parts.
