  1. I've had my IS300h F Sport for 6 months now and covered 10,000 miles on a variety of journeys including a few long motorway journeys. The best I've had is about 47.5mpg average on a tank full. Usually more like 44 on my regular daily commutes. And that's being careful. I specifically asked what I could expect when i was ordering it and was told 52 to 54 easily. As it turns out I'm only getting the same as my last diesel car. I have asked the same question on here about how to get over 50mpg and received various answers about warmer weather, stay out of the "power" band etc. if I wanted to drive slowly to save fuel I'd have bought a slower car. However, as has been said before, it's pretty good for a 2.5 petrol and is lovely to drive.
  2. Yes, I have the heated/vented electric leather seats and electric steering adjust with memory function. Surprised you can't have the auto fold mirrors without that spec though.
  3. Hi Dicomar, I have just found your post whilst searching for information about "follow me home" lights. I have the same car as you in Celestial Black but with the basic navigation package. My mirrors fold in and out either using the key fob to remote lock/unlock or by using keyless lock/unlock. On the drivers armrest above the door mirror adjustment buttons I have 2 buttons. The one closest to the steering wheel will fold the mirrors for driving through tight spaces and the one closest to the door sets them to auto for when I lock/unlock the car. The only difference I can think is that I have the memory drivers seat function. Does your car have this function?
  4. I'm not sure how long I'm classed as a new member but I have another question if anyone can help please? My Audi headlights would stay on for about 20 - 30 seconds after leaving the car to light a path for me. Also on approaching the car, if I pressed the unlock on the remote the lights would come on to light my way. Is there a way that I can get my IS300h to do the same thing?
  5. So, just to update you all, I've just had to refuel today after 532.4 miles and the cars computer saying I achieved 46.2mpg. However, using the mpg calculator from Hypermiler.co.uk as a comparison I put in the distance and litres used to fill the tank back up and the answer I got was 42.19 mpg! Surely Lexus wouldn't have their car lie to me would they?
  6. Hmmm, the quick blasts are far too tempting in Sport mode with ASC on full! Especially when I'm trying to max my mpg.
  7. It does make it easier to stay out of the "power" band when accelerating I suppose. Following on from that, what is the most efficient way to get up to speed? Gradual slow increase or a quick blast and then back off so I'm not accelerating for as long?
  8. Thanks for your feedback. The tyres that came on the car are Bridgestone Turanza and the handbook recommends 36psi all round which they are. Although it did surprise me that it was the same front and rear in all load conditions considering the front and rear are different profiles and widths. I realise I'm losing out because it's an F Sport. I have stopped using Eco because I actually couldn't see any difference other than dull throttle responses. Nice to have that confirmed thanks Rayaan. My daily commute consists of a 15 mile trip each way with the middle 10 on motorway and about 2.5 each end on A and B roads. I'll try all your advice and let you know how I get on.
  9. Having had my car for a little over a month I must be honest and say I was expecting better MPG than I am currently getting. Coming from an Audi A6 Avant 2.0TDi that would give anywhere between 42 and 45 without trying too hard I was expecting a lot more than this with a hybrid. Just recently I've been driving like Miss Daisy's chauffer (not something I did in the Audi) and I'm only getting around 45 or so. I've seen reports of people getting 55 plus on this forum so my question to those of you that achieve that is how please?
  10. So, as I posted last week, I've had my IS300h for just over a month now and the mutimedia system is playing up again! First time it lost my maps and satnav function as I was driving into London (luckily I had a good idea where I was going). After a softwear update all appeared fine until it started losing my ipod connection via the USB in the armrest. After some helpful advice from Colin on this forum on how to perform a reset (press and hold the volume button for 5+ seconds) all seemed ok again. On Friday evening however it froze again. The map stuck on, the menu button didn't work, the volume control didn't work, the steering wheel buttons didn't work and neither did the reset as mentioned above. I am now waiting to hear back from my local dealers as to when it can go back in for the secon time in a month. So far I am a bit disappointed with Lexus ownership to say the least. Anyone else had similar issues to this? How was it resolved if indeed it was?
  11. Thanks for the tip Colin. The car I bought was in the showroom and was the spec I wanted but didn't have satnav. The basic version without the mouse type controller was plugged in at the dealership as a retro fit. When the satnav stopped working it was after a stop at a services and when we set off the maps had gone. Next to go was the maps icon on the screen. Luckily I knew where I was going. After being parked up for the weekend the satnav returned and worked fine. It has been back to the dealership to have the connection checked and a soft wear update. My latest problem is the iPod connected via USB in the centre armrest disappears occasionally but returns after starting the car again.
  12. Hi all, Having found my way to the forum on several occasions before and after taking delivery of my lovely celestial black F Sport I thought I would join up for sharing of information. Took delivery on 30th September and so far I'm very impressed having owned various German diesel estate cars for the past 12 years or so. I have had the problem with my phone favorites disappearing already which I read on here before taking delivery, and on a recent trip to London the retro fitted SatNav vanished completly. Also so far I'm only getting about 44mpg average which isn't a lot more than I was getting in my last car. But generally I'm pleased with the car and also the service from the dealership.
