Thanks very much, it worked! Wish I had a more logical mind.

When I revisit, having omitted the set up when registering the vehicle originally it won't allow me to enter the details without asking for the name I gave the vehicle and the chassis number. When I enter these it gives a message that this vehicle is already registered!

Frustratingly I can't seem to enter the above retrospectively on the Customer Portal a couple of days after inputting my vehicle details. I do know to enter 16 digit code without the hyphens nevertheless the Portal won't let me enter the information - all advice gratefully received. PS - It seems disappointing that such a highly technical car company cannot create a more user friendly portal than this, don't you think?
