You would have thought Lexus would have donated a "capture car" to apprehend the thieving scumbags by now with the damage its doing to its reputation.

That's the thread I used.

It is possible but a fiddle. I did mine a while back and they were fine. No reprograming to be done. You have to dig them out then re silicon them in.

Update or further info the car displays emails with no problem I have reduced the amount of text messages on the phone but to no avail. I am not close to a main dealer so its not easy to pop in. I get the message "unable to download message list" if that helps shed any light on problem. Could there be too many texts from previous owners stored but not deleted when their details were deleted?

Hi Paul. How are the phone numbers displayed on your phone. i.e. do they start with a Zero or +44? If zero then you'll have to go through your phones numbers and replace the zero with +44. After that all messages will appear.
It's unfortunate this has to be done but its the only way. I found this out a number of years back when I had the same issue with an is300h premiere. Took it to Lexus and a tech sorted it for me. He told me what needed to be done.
No luck unfortunately but worth a try.

Thanks Vlad l will give it a try

Thanks Robert I forgot to say I have an Android phone and all the tutorials I find through Google seem to be for apple devices.

Also bear in mind that the parking brake is drum so rear has both drum and disc.

Hi All
I have recently purchased a 2018 GS300h Premier and having the old chestnut of messages not being notified or read out. I believe this has been covered before but not having much luck in finding topic. Does anyone have any advice on how to solve or point me in the direction of topic. I have tried to follow the manual and the car receives calls fine.
Thanks in advance Paul

I had similar on my GS450h. physical examination showed nothing then I insisted on a full complement of passengers. 3 technicians 1 service advisor and myself, traveled 200yds and 2 techs said simultaneously rear shocker. Changed under extended warranty all now ok. It was an embarrassing noise when carrying passengers and I had to be firm with dealership to get it resolved.

double check that it says "Low Tire" and not "System Error"

a trip up the motorway to junction 31 and see Dave at Lex-Tek Autos 11 Old Waleswood Colliery. S26 5PQ is worth the drive.

pre 2012 models they ignore the warning lights for this. I had the same situation when changing the batteries in mine which coincided with the MOT. I confirmed this with the tester as I had the same concerns as you and had nothing noted.

I made a sealed container using 1 sensor to inflate putting the other three loose inside and placed this in the boot. Worked fine. Use a metal container as the plastic ones are difficult to keep sealed as they expand with the pressure. There is a thread somewhere on here.

I had a similar situation on my GS it was a non leaking apparently well working rear shock absorber. it only did it with 3 passengers in rear seat. Lexus Lincoln didn't believe me after they couldn't find anything until I insisted they tried a test drive with loaded rear seat. 100yds from workshop and two of the rear seat passengers (all mechanics) shouted rear shocker. All sorted now.

The first radio I fitted to my A35 van was one from a pals Ford can't remember the model. It consisted of a large black box containing valves and a thick cable from said box to a tuner display unit. All rather large but worked well. Amazing what you do when you're a broke 17yr old. Recently used my tape player to listen to my late brother's tape from when he was a professional entertainer, quite a treat.

I had one today.

A pal of mine had the similar situation, when he went to pay, the cashier told him the pump he declared and used had been paid by the previous customer. He asked what were they going to do about it and they said to pay for the pump the previous customer had used. Fortunately for him it was £20 less than his pump.

Yes that's what I was thinking Dave but I'd forgotten you stated that the security light was blinking but a move of the lever in future is something to try. Good luck as it sounds tricky to track down.
-
it might be worth checking that the position switch on the gear lever is working correctly. if I switch the engine off with the lever in drive or reverse it all looks as if its turned off but is in the accessory position but with no visible warning or visual indications. if the switch is acting up it may give the symptoms you describe with locking etc. Just a thought.

I took the 10 years+ Warranty last April and have just had a knocking rear shock absorber done.
-
I have replaced all the batteries in all four of mine for £15 pounds, which is considerably cheaper than a quoted £93 each sensor from LPD using Johns brilliant post as the basis.

Umar so what actually caused the fuse to blow?
