  1. If there was a problem with the coil packs, surely it would be obvious when the car runs even when cold? there's no misfires and the engine sounds good until it gets up to temperature then stalls and wont run again until she goes cold.
  2. Hi Dean The coil packs are all working correctly, sparking etc and no misfires and all the wiring to the coils packs look good. The only sensor we have not managed to look at yet is the crankshaft sensor, The ECM uses input signals from the pick up devices( Camshaft and crankshaft positioning sensors) to switch the ignition coils primary circuits on or off.
  3. HI I am currently having issues with my Lexus IS200 1999. When the car is cold she will start and run for about 10-20 mins until she is up to running temperature then she will just stall. She will start again no problem but will just stall straight away. If you leave her to go cold again she will start again and run for 10-20 mins and then again stall. The engine light and the TRC flashing lights come on. I was wondering if anybody else have had the same problem and what they did to resolve? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Crankshaft sensor? Possibly? it is definitely an electrical fault as the engine sounds good and and gear box and clutch all work ok.
