  2. Off road you can notice but on the road not so much . You will never get a ride like airbag . But I’d say it’s the same as stock coils and shocks . I looked into 2nd hand . But same . How long will it last . Move coated the shocks in wg90 . When I service I clean and re coat . Same when I do the brakes . Paint red oxide . And wax oil any steel . . Well worth it for n the long run .
  3. I didn’t need to get anything else . Had advice that stock shocks needed other parts from main dealer costing more . Little things like bump stops . Covers . Mounts and fixings . This kit had all I needed for lowering or raising
  4. Hi I converted to coilovers and profited from it . £800 for the kit . I did the conversion . Sold the old units for around £200 each . And the pump for £250 . It don’t handle off road as nice as it did but on the road cornering is stiffer . I tried lower profile wheels and tyres to see if it was better but didn’t like the look . I now lifted the suspension up . Happy now . But it is a 15 year old Car now . But longer I can keep it going the better I love it . Some hates out there but I like it
  5. £10 a month more . I asked if i changed to standard spring it would be the same cheaper they said as it was not stock and still modified from factory . Also that's with drilled brakes as they were down the same down .
  6. aderz my solution is not far from yours . I got gaffs tape folded it in half and slid it between the light and dash face . Pretty easy to do looks better . Pull the facia off 4 screws will get the console out and 2 wire plugs . A few gold screws holding the white part on . And some plastic clips . And then once in gently pulled the unit apart the rev needle popped off slid the tape in pipes it all back . No more flashing light . There might be fuses or a wire . But I ain't got time like I used to . The ride ain't as good as it was off road but on the road handles much better . Little more stiff but I've setup 30mm lower that stock and softest setting on damper . Bc coilover were the cheapest I could find but if I was going to do it again knowing I could sell the old for those silly prices I'd have got stock replacements . And not profited of the job. But one good thing . Didn't cost me ,it made me money lol . I paid £3800 3 half years ago and I've been offered £2000 for it but love it to much
  7. Took me around 10 hours . But had problems like bust my 22mm socket then got a new on need a power poll for my power bar . One stubborn bolt . Had the shocks from larkspeed . £680 but already made money money back on selling the old stuff . Very happy with the outcome . and now I can help others just like this thread
  8. All finished . All lights sorted. All sensors removed . Back on the road . I think I was lucky . Didn't need new Link pins . They came off easy . Defo a saving money wise . Sold the pump for £250 and The old shocks for £600 . Still not sold the sensors . But they on eBay .
  9. Well had a day off work. Old units off. new ones on .not had chance to setup and drive yet . When I stared my jeep the pump started but button under the dash switched it off . Old suspension on eBay .
  10. I've always had a top spec car . Any one know what does the se-l have that a se don't . 1 is air suspension . But what else e.g . Mark Levison 11 speaker sound system . Just want to know is it worth me scrapping mine or converting to cool ?
  11. I got in touch with this guy on eBay. Also found someone who has used this kit and happy . Cost wise look like a good deal . I want to clean as much as I can got black wax oil spray and and a load of cleaning tools . Ready . Does taking the bulb out in the dash work . When I got my car the ecu light was on but bulb removed .didn't know till I had m.o.t put a bulb in and had p0301 and p0302 . I think .catalyst below threshold . But the garage changed the sensors and added a inch spacer and now all works as normal . And emissions are 0.010 . Passed last year with a knock from steering advise . Said could be top mount . So been waiting for it to fail . I got new discs and pads to fit and two front wheel bearings . I changed everything on the rear 2 years ago . Cables shoes discs pads and refurbished calliper seals . Your advice has helped me make the jump cheers
  12. I'm going to convert my rx300 from air to spring . Car is off road and going to be a summer project . Any requests for picture of progress and any tips . Should I leave all the pumps and compressors and sensors on the suspension or get it all off .?
  13. Ye I still have mine . Gotta say . Think they saved my car from crashing . http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/crash-left-one-car-roof-10703429 i passed this crash just after it happened . I could have been the 4wd or tyres . But only the tyres were on the ice . Definitely won't be scrimping on tyres ever again . As for comfort and sound . Best tyre I've had :)
  14. Seen them today .very small space . Now all cleaned . I changed the heated seat switch today . Still no joy . Anyone know if the satnav can be updated . Must be 2004 as most of the roads I travel on didn't exist
  15. Well I didn't see them they are well hidden inside . I'll have another go next time in under the hood . But that brown blob was dirty . But I did have my head lamp washer relay today so I have fixed another fault I had . I've also bought a heated seat switch panel . With a new cig lighter as mine was well used . Narrow down y my seat don't work . Also bought a bearing press and I've had 4 wheel bearings , back one are bolt on so that should be easy . £250 for parts £75 for a press Would you know any other special tools I might need and would you know the joint bolt size as I'll have to buy a socket to fit . Thanks
  16. Good call on the MAF Sensor . It looked like it was painted in Matt black paint . Cleaned it now it like brown blob . Also found out the parcel shelf fits under the 2 trays that open in the boot . Result .
  17. It's a resister in I that gets hot and air passing cools it down . I'll do that . Thanks guys . Well worth asking . Never would have known :)
  18. That's wheel off unless you can work from behind the wheel but I'd say it's Easier to take wheels off I like to replace what I can while there pointless doing pads if discs need doing and bearings pads hope the shoes are good .
  19. I checked the coolant had 4 balls floating and it's nice and red but topped it up with some fresh red . I've done poll on filter I had a Toyota Camry £4 much better quality than the Lexus one . I used dexron 3 as dexron 2 is cheaper . Book say 2 or 3 so paid extra for 3 . Clean maf ? How do I do tha and is it located on the air box . Thanks guys .

I done a service today , Oil and filter , air , plugs ( including back, 3,) 3 litres of aft , I used comma ASW, (£50 for 6 litres ) used a big 10mm alun key, Rear diff oil , (10mm Alan key) 80-90 comma oil used Power steering fluid ( emptied old filled with Dexron 3 comma oil) I didn't have a 24mm socket for the front transfure box so next service I'll get tha done , Have I missed anything out , I've still got p0420 and p0430 codes , but I fitted foolers on the back lambda sensors , hope to keep the light off , think the cats are below efficiency, Next service I'm gonna do brakes all round and rear wheel bearings , front need to be pressed in so until I can buy or borrow a press ,
  21. I done a continuity check , working seat beeped but the faulty seat read 250 . I don't know what it means but I need to find out why I don't have volts . Maybe I'll have to run 4 wires front passenger side to drivers see if the seat warms up ,
  22. Under the seat there are 2 plugs going into 1 connector . It's the green plug . I got a problem with mine . Passenger side works fine . Drivers don't Switch lights up , I not got any volts coming out of the plug . I swapped relays by the fuse box . Still no joy . Don't know what else to do now .
