  1. Cool.... Thanks Guys I'll pay a visit to the Lexus http://www.nalleylexussmyrna.com/en_US/ At least with some numbers I have a fighting chance. These southern dudes speak funny. Can't moan about the weather though http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?world=0261
  2. Calling all Lexus EPC dudes Does anyone know the part number of the genuine Lexus Parking Reverse sensor kit for the IS200? I am in Atlanta Georgia USA working at the minute and want to check the price over here but they want to know the part number to make sure it's the right one for an IS200 Thanks in advance
  3. I will do all the work myself I called Lexus parts and asked for the price of a new cailliper - after picking myself up off the floor (£360) i asked what servicable parts are available - nice parts man told me that you can get a seal kit and pistons I have a matey in the trade and he got me a recon cailliper for £68 + vat but the seals look a bit weird. There is some weird coil of wire sticking out - i guess this is something to do with how they recon the bore. So i have not used that and will get a refund on it depeding on what i find is wrong with mine. What i plan to do is strip the one i have and see if all i need is seals and pistons (i.e. is the bore rusted) Only one piston is sticking - i am crossing my fingers and hoping it is just the seal is knackered
  4. I am looking for the part number of the Seal kit and replacement pistons for the offside front (Front Right) brake calliper Anyone with the EPC able to find it please? It is for a 2000 IS200 sport I was told the pistons come individually but the seal kit is a set of 4. Many thanks in advance Dan

  6. Well i'm glad i asked on here first..... I called them and they said no problem....we will order the correct one for you. So i popped in this morning and swapped it over. It was actually a few pound more but the guy let me have it for the same price (inc Gold 10% discount :) ) I just opened the box and it looks quite a bit different. The threaded bit on the top of the piston is much larger diameter. I would have been well pi55ed off if i had got the car all to pieces to find it was the wrong one. So...lesson learned....don't trust a Toyota parts dude when he say's "yeah, that'll fit mate".... Thanks again Chris....you saved me from a lot of swearing this Saturday.. :D
  7. Ok I am not going to risk it then Time to call and bitch at them Thank you muchly :)
  8. Thanks for that Chris, The one still attached to the car is a 48510-53020 Do you know what the difference between them is? Will the "wrong" one they sold me still fit? Thanks Dan
  9. 2000 IS200 Sport O/S/F damper is leaking...so..... I checked the part number of the offender 48510-53020 Lexus Bristol sold me a 48510-80143 (number on the box) but the shock inside is stamped with 48510-53041 Please help It looks the same but i don't want to strip it all to pieces to find it is not the right one Thanks in advance
  10. The new one is genuine Lexus Styling Kit part. I got it at cost price cos i have a friend in the parts department I think it is £290 ish retail. Gold gets you discount The bodyshop mate who welded up the old holes, filled, smoothed, painted (twice cos he was not happy with the colour match B) ) and fitted it charged me £160. Not too bad considering all the work. Skirts next me thinks :winky:
  11. After getting advice on here (no names mentioned) I got a Styling Kit Raised spoiler, the Genuine Lexus one that is part of the styling kit including the brake light. I was told that the holes from the original Sport Lip spoiler would be in the same place as the holes required for the new one...... So armed with some tools I remove the old one and amazing myself it comes off in one piece. It is here if anyone is interested So I grab my nice new raised one and.... :o none of the holes line up. The 2 outer ones are not to far away but the center one is a mile off So off to my mates body shop I go....Some welding and painting later and all looks good.Pic Just thought I would share the information in case any other Sport owner had considered the same
  12. Does anyone know where the wiring for the Sport spoiler goes? I have a 2 pin plug hanging inside the boot lid that matches the plug on the high level brake light ftted on the spoiler. The wire colours are white with black marker and 2 silver stripes and black with white marker and 2 silver stripes. One goes to earth and i expected the other to be live when the brake pedal is pressed......but there is nothing....... Anyone got a wiring diagram or knowledge of why this is not live? Thanks in advance
  13. B) http://www.dashmount.co.uk/Lexus/71445.htm I have one No holes drilled Bolts on using the original fixings for the Stereo and is at the perfect angle and height
  14. hmmm Lexus retail is £296.95 inc vat then - say 15% discount for being gold member which means £252.41 and me m8 can get it for £228 inc vat It's good having m8's in the trade....especially in the parts department I think I will join anyway....Just so I can be British Airways Gold and Lexus Gold :D They will make a lovely couple.....
