  1. Hello, as topic suggests, I have 2 errors when I plug in my scanner to the car C1210 Zero point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor undone C1336 Zero Point Calibration of Deceleration Sensor Undone Anyone came across these before and know how to fix them? VSC and Traction lights are on. thanks
  2. Ok so tried disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, and the engine management light has disappeared !!! happy with the result, thanks Abdul. But Check VSC and traction lights are still on? any idea why? quite odd as I have always seen people talking about all 3 lights come up on the dash at the same time?
  3. Many thanks for the detailed post Abdul, I am going to try the easiest option first to see if it works today, disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for 10 minutes. Just one question though, will it reset everything on the car for e.g. multimedia system sat nav etc or radio together with anything else that may need coding again? I am no expert so this is all new to me. thanks,
  4. just got back from the garage who have fixed my bonnet as it wasnt shutting properly. thankgod! got another problem - all 3 lights came on the dashboard over the weekend - check VSC, eng management and traction control. Garage plugged the car into the computer and ran diagnostics, told me there is only one error code i.e. P1386?? Did a quick seach on the internet cant find any related posts on this code. any suggestions/ideas or anyone who has come across this type of code and how did they fixed it? thanks,
  5. OK so tried both techniques, applied WD40 on the catch and tried lowering those side plastic bits at the top of the bonnet as well. none of them worked and my bonnet is still not locked properly. There is a string attached to the lever inside the car which seems very tight and it pulls nicely when lever is pulled, so nothing wrong with the cable/string attached at both ends. I tried lubricating the mechanism with WD40 spray, left it for a bit tried again and still no joy. I cant even drive the damn thing like this. Need more ideas before I pay my local garage a visit and end up paying alot of money for something very minor!
  6. thanks guys, I will spray wd40 on the latch and leave it for a bit and then retry closing the bonnet. will keep you updated!
  7. Hello, new here! and already need some help with my 2008 is 220d. I opened the bonnet yesterday to top up the screen washing fluid as error on the dash was annoying me. When i was done, I tried to shut the bonnet but it would'nt shut, it stays open I can see a gap but it does lock to the point where you physically need to pull a lever to lift up the bonnet, but it wouldnt completely close. I tried a couple of times pushed it, and slamed it as well to see if it works but no joy. Lever inside the car is fine, nothing seems to be wrong with the cable. Any ideas??!?
