  1. Well this morning all seemed to be well. So could it be an intermittent problem? Or something which just needs looking at to be on the safe side?
  2. Hi guys, I parked up tonight at home and noticed that when I turned off the car the central locking didn't unlock the front passenger side door. After trying to lock and unlock a few times there was so no joy. I put my ear to the door handle and locked the car and I couldn't hear any locking mechanism engaging or disengaging. Am I right in thinking its just that doors locking mechanism which is screwed? ALSO, I've had the car since July from a Lexus dealer, so would this come under its warranty as its something that's just come out of the blue? Your help is much appreciated guys!
  3. Fair enough. Got a week off work in sept. Will attempt to clean the car top to bottom then. Just worried about getting the clay process consistent n hope that I don't miss any hard to reach nooks or crannies! Lol
  4. My car is only 2.5 years old. I know it's seems a silly question, but will it really benefit from clay bar treatment or not as much since it's still quite new. Also, anyone had any experience with Mer Ultimate Polish??? We sell it where I work (Costco Birmingham) and only a couple left so I wondered whether it's worth getting and trying out?....
  5. Thanks. Still think I might use a clay mit. Online reviews saying it's as good as using a clay bar but just easier.
  6. So just to clarify..... Wash the car - two bucket system, Autoglym clay bar it OR use a clay mit. Then Autoglym super resin polish Then autoglym HD wax? I'm only using autoglym because a friend of mine has moved country and sold his car and left me all his autoglym goodies. Sorry if this all makes me seem abit dense. I know what to do for the inside and wheels. Just the exterior that I want to work on. Thanks guys.
  7. Found it! And it didn't self destruct! 😁. Will read this throughly then hope for some good weather. Lol
  8. Goggy, no need to clay bar it? I've heard that's what really makes a difference when it then comes to waxing it.
  9. Thanks for your reply Ray. The wife just got me the autoglym complete car set with like 10 different things in it. I think only clay bar and wax didn't come with it. So want to put it to use. Will await your detailing guide then go for it!
  10. Hi guys, Looking for some advice.... At some point before this decent-ish weather goes till next year I wanted to give the car a really really good going over. What do people recommend for doing this? I've been told to wash it then clay bar it and then wax it. But any advice on what products to use or special procedures you guys have used would be muchos appreciated. The car is obsidian black with ivory leather. Look forward to hearing your suggestions. Thank you!
  11. Lol Edgware Road seems to have a few issue there! Something ain't right at all. Yeah one day this week when I'm off work I'll post up a dealer review.
  12. Mikey, I'm in your shoes! This ct is gonna be with me for another two years then when it reached around 75-80k miles I'm gonna trade it in and get a is300h, so that way I get a decent price for the ct. But I doubt I'll be going back to my dealer that I got this car from now!
  13. They've just lost touch with the common consumer. Well I'm glad it's sorted out. BUT. The principle of it.
  14. Lol. I don't think these dealers understand how hard we work the money we spend at their showrooms. And they seem to have forgotten we are willing to pay that little extra for the service that comes with buying from the main dealer. Or am I wrong? Lol
  15. Good news!!!! After sending the dealer and customer relations a picture of the car advert with no headrest. I got a call today from the saleswoman who sold me the car.....headrest has been ordered and they'll let me know when it arrives. I am pleased with the outcome, but disappointed with the drawn out length of it. Just got the follow up email of my purchase asking for feedback of the dealer when I bought the car........hmmmm should be interesting lol.
  16. Very true. God knows what it will take for them to buck up!
  17. If only Lexus actually knew what was happening to their prestigious brand name here in the UK.............
  18. well then at least your dealer is decent. Mine is still messing me around with the head rest!
  19. I completely agree with what you are saying it's true. I'd searched for ages to find the ct200 with the spec I wanted. And I should have checked but I didn't. Even still. The dealer must know they've fudged up. But just don't want to shell out the few hundred quid to get it repaired, compared to me returning a 13k car?.....hmmmm
  20. I fully agree, their service is not what it's cracked up to be. I was told by many people that Lexus was top notch in keeping their customers happy, clearly not anymore. A quick buck is all they want. Then balls to any problems the customer has.
  21. Yeah I know exactly what you mean! If I was buying from some Shady backstreet car garage then fair enough, but this is from one of the main dealers. Well hopefully they'll also see they've made a mistake. If not then I genuinely don't know what I'll do. It just makes me laugh at the thought of actually trying to con a headrest. Lol
  22. Haha exactly. I have two. I need three. really don't see how this is rocket science? lol
  23. Hi guys, Just an update. Customer relations contacted the dealer and now the dealer wants the picture I have from the online listing to show there was no headrest then! They actually think I'm trying to scam them out of a headrest! LOL. Well I've sent it, so let's see what happens now.
  24. I also understand the idea that if it wasn't spotted at the handover then they will say it's my problem etc etc. but from a safety point of view it's not right. Doubt the dealer principal gives two hoots. Who knows customer relations may say they've spoken to him but they may not bother too. Well I'm taking it to the same dealer tomorrow for some other issue, so let's see if they approach me about this issue. So frustrating. But thank you all for your suggestions and advice. At least their owners club is helpful! Unlike the dealers!
