  1. Did you not notice the gearbox crunching when test driving ? Would try changing he gearbox oil first see if it makes any difference if not could be a problem with the syncros, from experience if it crunching quite badly in a few gears you might be wasting you're money changing the oil.. Hope you get it sorted
  2. Here's what it looks like through the standard sport tinted windows, needs properly pressing down to clear the bubbles and its really in the centre of the window right hahaha.... not think its going to come off because I'm not a fan of the black background! Want to show support but want a clean look too 😜
  3. I think in the rear quarter Windows would be a ideal place to put them but if you've got tinted windows like me, they won't be very visible. Might give one a try to see how clear it is, if I do il post a picture for you to check out
  4. Received my gold membership pack today, looks like the stickers have a black background?? and also reverse cut?? if so its a shame because i think a lot of people would prefer a decal of only the text and also what about the people with tinted windows haha
  5. Fitted Meister R Zeta crd coilovers today! Finally got rid of the arch gap and progressing to the direction my project needs to go.... firstly want to say the quality of the coilovers is great, the look the part and handle great, car needs some alignment adjustment but need to wait for the settle in period first, really want to highlight he ride comfort of these! I've used tein and bc racing coilovers in previous cars and for daily's the where seriously harsh!! But these retain a lot of the standard comfort of course there more bumpy and you feel the cracks and gaps normally cushioned by the stock shocks but the trade off for handling and looks is well worth it in my opinion! (My daily is an e class so I'm used to comfort too) So if anyone's thinking of going for coilovers I'd highly recommend Meister R!
  6. Got a full set of standard suspension on lowering springs in the for sale section of you need to replace the leaking strut
  7. Is it not 100k or 6 years (which ever comes first) for the timing belt ? As a rule of thumb I've always changed at 100k without issues but always checked the condition of the belts. So looks like the belt will be up for renewal for you !
  8. The drop/sway links are connected from the strut to the anti roll bar, have a wiggle for excessive play and check the rubber on all the joints some might be perished causing play and the knocking noise. Would also check the steering rack and any associated bolts etc
  9. Could be drop links, top mounts or possibly bushes, if there movement or vibration when braking possibly worth going over the brake components first?
  10. Found a Sport grill for a really good price, 5 mins later looks much better
  11. Hi and welcome, good job with the armrest, have to agree the prices of the originals are very expensive you should get some more pics of how you did it as I'm sure some other members would find it useful
  12. have you seen the turbo conversion ? full kit supplied and fitted for a good price, i know there is a member on here with that kit. would save you a lot of hassle and for the cost around £2500 you getting a lot of power
  13. Not sure if it's been found before but stumbled across this today, might be useful to anyone choosing wheels.. http://rimtuck.com/search/thumbnails&make=Lexus&model=IS&
  14. hopefully get a few more to join us haha!! Any suggestions on good locations ?
  15. Thanks for the reply, mines lowered 35mm and it's really not worth it as the drop is so minor compared to standard, I could live with loosing a mudflap haha, providing the ride is still relatively smooth and you say Ps car is looking good fella would be spot on if you can get hold of some side skirts, miss my old one in that colour I think silver looks best !
  16. How's the ride with the tenzo springs ? Do you have an problems with daily driving ? Was planning to get these but concerned he standard shocks wouldn't cope, would be good to hear from someone with them fitted
  17. Not 100% his is the right place to post this, but correct me if I'm wrong first little update on my new project, fully undersealed and fixed two patches of bubbling before they start to spread on the outer sills, fitted votgland 35mm lowering springs, I used the tte springs on my last is and although they were great thought I'd try something different, they ride on par with the tte springs even though not had time to settle im sure they won't be low enough!! So coilovers will be on the list ! Keep the yellow fogs or not ??
  18. hopefully some more people will want to get involved in thinking a Sunday, if anyone has any good location we could hold a meet would also be great as I'm fairly new to the area (I'm based in Durham, but a bit of travel is fine for me)
  19. Just wondering if anyone is interested or previously organised any Lexus meets in the north east? If not it's something I would like to organise if anyone is interested ?
  20. So here's a picture of my new one , decided to try the fog lights tints today , really like yellow fogs but unfortunately DiY ones just don't look right !! So off with the film haha
