On my NX 450+ Takumi only front handles are illuminated as well. So I guess this is how it is supposed to do.
Wow , that is mean of Lexus , only front door handles illuminated? . I was disappointed when I changed my is300 for the NX 300 and found there was no light on the door to light up road / puddles and no light under the door mirrors. The new NX is very expensive and seems to be lacking in the niceties. The door trim in new NX was really cheap looking.

I just ordered Michelin Cross Climate 2 (225/60 R18 104W) XL from Halfords at an acceptable £144 each after reading all the positive reviews here. Hopefully it's still as impactful on my now ancient 64 plate.
Are you pleased with the tyres ? My NX300 currently has Bridgestone 225/60R 18 100 H . Does the 100 or 104 make any difference? . Avon are a very good price , good reviews and apparently Made In UK ??? . Any thoughts anyone ?

It's not normal on an NX
But it definitely is normal on an IS or a GS
The guy from Lexus collected the car today to take in for service basically said it was normal! But may need some adjusting to the alignment.

What's the difference in tread depth across the tyre? Inner edges often wear more than the rest of the tyre on rear wheels so to some degree that is normal and you might have eg 3mm left on the rest if the tyre when the inner edges mean it needs replacement. However if you have significant tread left on the tyre when the inner edges have gone an alignment may well be needed.
The tread on the rest of the tyre looks fine . I really not keen on replacing perfectly goods just because of wear on the edge of the tyres. I have asked Lexus to look at the alignment when it is being serviced.

I have the alignment check by a local tyre shop every couple of years and the alignment has been fine. If they out of alignment it can effect braking and fuel economy.
Do use local tyre shop with the right gear and they are a lot cheaper than Lexus with the same results.CAR has gone in for service today and I have asked them to look at the alignment.

Just had car MOT done , rear tyres badly worn on the inside edge of the tyres . When looking at the car from behind , you can see the wheels lean in at the top and lean out at the bottom . Is this normal ? The MOT garage suggest getting a Four wheel alignment done .

It might be just me. But, has anyone else have the issue of the windscreen glass being very prone to scratching?
I've had to book mine in for a new one just after 2.5 years of ownership, from new, with less than 16k on the clock. I will be getting a new windscreen and all the wiper blades change for a mere £560.00
OUCH!!Can’t you get the windscreen done on the insurance??

Ireland?
Not many Lexus cars sold in Ireland but I guess they could have someone on a waiting list

After 14 months of waiting we've had to cancel our ordered 350h NX today, due to ongoing health issues.
We're strangely sad about the whole thing ,even though we never even got a sniff the new car. The Dealers have been very gracious about it and I hoped another customer would benefit. Apparently not . Lexus put any cancellations back into the European pot so anyone in europe is one up on the waiting list.
Happy waiting to you all.🥲
Why would Lexus now offer a right hand drive NX300 to customers in left hand drive Europe?

I'm with Aviva online paying less than £300 pa for a 2022 NX450h+ fully comp with business cover and only compulsory excesses. Very reasonable.
How is it so cheap ?????? Must be down to wherever you live ?

Looks like the service is going to cost nearly £ 600 . I think that is a lot , i hope they actually do all the things they are listed to Do on the service schedule......... otherwise it is money for jack all .

My GS started first time too Howard after spending 3 months at a time when we lived in Spain for 6 months of the year and it was connected to a Solar Charger.
When Covid broke out we had to leave IS300 h in underground car park in Spain for 3 months. We had to fly back to collect it in June and the Battery was totally flat . Had to get new Battery sent down from Madrid . Hence why I was expecting Battery in current NX to be flat after being outside in the cold . A solar charger would be the solution. Was it easy to connect?

I'm with Aviva and have been for quite a few years. Around 3 years there was a gang of bikers hi-jacking cars in the neighbourhood and I got picked on, I finished up in hospital after putting up a fight (stupid thing to do when you're in your late 60s and could have got stabbed) they trashed the car and Aviva wrote it off. As I had good CCTV footage Aviva were excellent in paying the claim and were a pleasure to deal with. They remain to be the cheapest I can find for the ES.
Omg , those scumbags attacking your car ! And you ? . Where was this ? .
I too am with Aviva . A car went into back on me in Spain when stationary, about to reverse into space . I got the forms filled out and the driver basically admitted responsibility. Paid £500 excess and the work was done about 5 weeks later in the U.K. .
Made many calls re getting the £500 , given lots of responses, like Brexit will make it more difficult, really??
Anyway, just got the money back , took 2 year but really happy just to get my £500 in my bank .- 1

Thrilled and relieved on Sunday on my return from Spain for 2 months when my NX 300 h started first time . I was resigned to it being flat and probably in need of new Battery. So pleased 😀

Hi!
Hoping someone clever can help me figure out this conundrum.
Last night someone stole my UX 250h. We heard a loud thud of something solid breaking (not glass) and went to the window when we saw a man wearing a covid mask swiftly start walking away from the car.
Checked the car was ok and still locked and went to sleep.
Woke up in the morning to find the car gone and notifications on My Lexus app saying Hybrid System Malfunction, Sonar System Malfunction, One or more doors unlocked.
Long story short, the location was still tracking so I immediately went there and took the car back. It’s now at the garage to be re-secured but I cannot figure out how they did it.
Both keys were protected in Faraday pouches.
There was some minor damage to the left side front wheel well and guard was sticking out. The plastic panel under multimedia was ripped off. The left indicator was making a double speed noise. That’s about it - no broken windows or doors!
Please share if you know what happened so I can try to keep my car safe when I get it back.
Thank you!
Krissy
Very worrying, I keep our keys in the protective pouch , looks like they can get round that now?

To make life even easier, CTEK can supply Indicator leads which connect permanently to the battery posts and the charger plugs into a socket at the end of the lead.
It also features an LED traffic light array. This provides an indication of the battery charge level at a glance. I fitted them to both our cars and they make battery connection safer and more reliable. They come in two sizes.
Hi Len , which one of these CTEK accessories should I buy as a trickle charger ?

AVS = Adaptive Variable Suspension. A short video of the claimed benefits:
Not a silly question at all, acronyms are too often used without definition.
I'd really like to compare a UX250h F Sport with AVS with a Takumi for ride comfort. I suspect the F Sport would have a firmer set up such that even with the claimed benefits of AVS I'd find the Takumi more comfortable and better for my aging body on long journeys. If so, it's a shame AVS isn't offered as an option on the Takumi as well as the F Sport.
Thanks for explaining 👍

Who says, Howard ?
From personal experience ! I look at cars parked with blue badges in my local area . If they are less than 3 years old it’s highly likely they have been leased via Motability . They are often Citroen. There is also a Tv ad , it’s on constantly, advertising getting a car on Motability , and guess what , the car in the Ad is a Citroen.

The problem there, Howard, is that it takes quite a few minutes at a fast tick over - or several miles driving - to compensate for the initial current consumed by starting! You could end up with a nett loss in terms of battery voltage.
You don’t say where your car is stored. If it’s in a garage, say, I’d go for a good quality trickle charger, such as a CTEK, which cannot overcharge the battery.
If left outside, then investigate the various solar panel chargers that can be placed inside the car. There have been threads discussing them quite recently.
Incidentally, if possible, leave the parking brake off. Chock the wheels if necessary. In fact, you might care to check the AA website which has advice on preparing cars for extended periods of non-use.
Thank you so much , interesting information. It will be parked outside but in front of a garage which has power sockets. I will have to investigate a trickle charge . Never heard of doing this with solar panels , inside the car ? . Will have to look online and see what is available and then come back here for more help ! . Cheers .

Maybe a silly question, what is AVS ?

Most people getting cars on Motobility get Citroen, Renault Etc. So I prefer taxpayers money go anywhere but to France !

I spend the winters in Spain and up until now I have taken my car with me to Costa Del Sol . This year we are leaving it behind , sadly . My previous Lexus IS300 h was left in Spain due to pandemic And the starter Battery went flat after 2 months I think . If I leave the NX300h in Uk , how long will Battery last ? . Would it help if I get a neighbour to start it up and maybe let it run for a while ? . Any info and advice would be appreciated.
