  1. Not bad for a mobile GPS system. Now sorted out the mounting issues. Lexus Jim kindly gave me the vent mount that looks better then the screen mount. Now looking to hardwire the PDA charger into the car. Going to do this behind the dash. Poss this weekend if its not hurling it down
  2. I am now experiencing the same problems with the front tyres inner block of tread. The tyres should not wear out like this (my opinion). What :tsktsk: me off is the fact if you take it to a dealer they will charge you for dealing with the problem. (when the problem was has been with the set up from day one) I don't mind paying out for new tyres when I know that I have had good wear out of them, but when I see the rest of the tyre still has another 10 to 20K left on them and having to replace them due to dealer saying that the car is set up like that is simply crazy. Right, I'm going out now to calm down.
  3. No not at all, thumb screws have now been removed.
  4. Should have mentioned - Going to sign up for Gold.
  5. It was a good night. Good to also meet the guys on this site. Must say, very impressed with Gordons s/c. Still its something I'm now thinking of doing but need to keep it hush hush from the other half. lol :D
  6. Thursday is fine with me. Should be there for 7.00. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Cheers
  7. Thanks Helly Had a look and it does look good on the right vent. The GPS unit i got the other day with my new Ipaq is the Haicom GPS CF card. It slots in the top of the Ipaq. Got this one so the use is less restricted (not only used in the car). Still getting use to it. I am planning to get the Seidio G2500 mount for the Ipaq and hard wire it to the car. This is planned to be mounted on one of the vents "Jim's kindly offered the vent mount". I'll have a look at the others. Buy the way, the LOC is one of the best i've seen and to everybody that has replied, thanks very much. :) :D
  8. Any day would do with me. This will be my first meet so all new to me. If its Friday then i'll be late, some 9.30 ish, but still interested. Cheers
  9. Lexus Jim That'll do the trick. How do we do this then? I live near Stockport but work in Bury. Ash
  10. Hi Everyone, (hope this is the right place to post this type of topic) I am looking to get a new PDA HP H2210 with the Tom Tom 3 GPS Navigation software. I'll be using the PDA for a number of other reason (esp work) and wanted to get the navigation system. I have a number of options as to how to mount the thing in the car 1. Dash Console 2. Locking vent 3. Suction. Looking to get the Seidio GPS ready mount. Global Positioning Systems What I would like to do is locate the GPS ready mount in the top dash box, so as when the lid is closed the holder is not visible. Don't plan to keep the PDA in when not in use. So has anybody tried this or done it already???? I could do the normal thing and have it let the car down by showing all the wires and holder attached to the screen. But I don't want do that! So any suggestions or ideas will be much appreicated. Willing to make a mechanism but could do with some ideas. Thanks Ash
  11. Thanks Scorpion Will try that. Let you know how it goes. Ash
  12. Hello all Just joined, but have been actively looking at site for the past 4 months. Got my IS200 Sport in Dec 2003. Loved to bits. Best buy I ever made. There is only one thing that I have found to be a bit of a pain. Its the windscreen wipers. When in the rain the wipers don't clear the screen on the return wipe. Cleaned with Autoglem and this was fine for a few days. It then started to go back to the same unclear windscreen. Spoken to Lexus Stockport and they said that it could be that screen was not cleaned properly when they had the car ready for me. Asked what they used and the service manager said white spirits. So got home and cleaned it. Still the same problem It looks like on the return wipe that the blade is not sitting on the screen, jump marks and there is also that rubber brrr sound on the return. (mad i know - but want to enjoy driving even in the rain) Any ideas or suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks Ash
