Can't remember exactly, but I had a similar problem last year. Somehow I must have altered the locking settings. 

Go into the menu and find the car locking settings. You can set up various preferences. Check this first. 

Many years ago I read of a similar problem. The solution was to cover all panel gaps and window closings with duct tape. Drive the car, and then remove parts of the tape until the noise appears. This should then point to the problem area. A bit of a faff of you can't slide over to the passenger side to get out!

Best way to see an engine bay, as the seller is not trying to conceal any problems by cleaning it up.

Don't use a pressure washer! Just use some trigger bottles or aerosol cans with degreaser, a paint brush to agitate, and then a trigger bottle of water. Dry off with plenty of rags. 

No need for any upgrades. 

Hopeless aren't they. My car with a private plate on isn't recognised on the app, or sometimes if I book it in for service. Yet it's recognised on price compare and car parts internet sites. I've told them, and can't be bothered to tell them again. 

Touch it in, leave for a week, then T cut. 

Strange the boot needs adjusting on a 2020 car. Has the car been rear ended? Have you checked the exhaust?

There may be another side to this. Are you checking the level when cold or hot? What does your manual say? 

When I had my ISF, I was also concerned, until I read the manual to find that it had to be read when hot, and when the engine had been off for 5 minutes. Level was correct then.

That looks like it's been standing for years, and it wasn't cared for before that! The tyre would be the least of my concerns. There must be more to this.

The front seat backs really don't fold down much. When putting in child seats, it requires a knack of putting the back of a seat in sideways first, and then turning it around so the squab can follow. Rather than measuring up with a tape, you'll really need to take the crate with you. The boot opening also looks larger than it is, and even getting a microwave or similar size object can defeat you. 

As mentioned, with a car of that age, go to a normal trusted garage. Better still, if a local taxi company in your locality uses the Toyota Prius, enquire where they take their cars to.

Where do I start. 18 months ago, my neighbour was having building work, and a digger snapped my line from the pole to the eaves to our bungalow. Called BT to report and explained fully what happened. 

No problem, we'll send an engineer to replace, but there'll be a charge and my neighbour was prepared to pay. 

Engineer turned up and said he couldn't do anything as it was a broken cable, and he'd been sent to repair an internal fault! He called the office in front of me, explained the situation, and even sent a photo of the cable dangling from the pole!!

Another appointment set up, and nobody turned up.

Many calls, and many appointments booked until somebody actually turned up 4 weeks later.

Obviously, during this time, we had no Internet, and I was using my mobile to call them, to find out what was going on, and was never called back.

As you can imagine, I was tearing my hair out at this time. 

Now, 6 months previous to this, I was offered a new free digital home phone as part of their initiative to get the whole country digital. This has caused many problems for people reliant on a cable landline as you may recall from reports in the Press.

When we were finally reconnected, I had many voice mail messages on this phone, from guess who!!!! 

BT/Openreach trying to reorganise engineer appointments. You really couldn't make it up.!!!!!

They did give me 3 months Internet charge compensation, and didn't charge for the broken cable. 

When was the pollen filter last changed? Could be blocked. Try temporarily removing it to see if flow increases.

Sadly, I think the tax rate of £675 is the main stumbling block to this age of vehicle. 

I can afford to purchase one of these, but for the amount of times I would use it, the cost of tax per use is very high. That £675 is say £60 per month by direct debit. I use my RC300h once maybe twice per week, so in an F version that's £7.50 in tax alone per journey!

Looking on the Lexus sales site and Auto Trader, there are lots of 15/16 versions for sale, and no 17/18/19 models which come under the lower tax rate of £180. This can't be a coincidence.

I realise some may say if you can afford the car you can afford to run it, but many are looking at figures now, and in this case they don't compute.

I don't mean to come across as being rude, just stating facts unfortunately.

Whenever I haven't been able to get a trolley jack underneath, I have two short lengths of scaffold planks that I drive over to raise the car on that side. Most jacks will then go under. Always use a puck as well on the jack to save damage.

Seems a good price, but the MOT history is suspect. 1st one, mileage not recorded, 2nd one a couple of months later shows the  mileage. 

Later, all 4 tyres mentioned at 12k, which seems a bit early. 

I've sent an email early today asking if it has full Lexus history etc, but no reply yet. 

Gut feeling is it's had the mileage corrected at some stage, so I'll steer clear, unless anyone knows of it.

A couple of days ago I was asking my daughter if she wanted my plates in the future when I pop my clogs. Not really interested was the reply, and when I mentioned the young grandchildren may want them, she said that in the future they'd be autonomous cars or car share schemes etc.

So after having one of my plates since 1972, sadly it seems I'll end up putting them on a commission sales site.

I have an RC300h and in the same position. Grandchildren are getting older, with ones head brushing the headlining when in her car seat. 

Don't want an SUV of any kind! So may get a Corolla estate. 

Or, thinking outside of the box, a Zafira for when they're in the car,  and something for me and the wife when they're not. An IS250c or a BMW Z4 coupe?

An IS300h estate would be ideal. Lexus now have a very restricted range now, and must be losing sales.

As an aside, many years ago I was a driver at the local car auctions, driving the cars  to the rostrum to be sold. 

This involved a very slow drive with punters giving the cars a good look over. 

Some of the traders were particularly arrogant, and us drivers used to love it when we good give their trousers a good soaking.....

I can remember watching Tomorrow's World in the late 60's when this was talked about and demonstrated. Reflective plates were introduced to make cars more visible and for registrations to be read at night. White with black digits was deemed best, and because white cannot be shown on the rear of a vehicle, yellow was chosen.

Do interior plastics still have a little 'date clock' in the moulding? Normally gives month and year the item was made, but doesn't always coincide with the month of the body, but near enough.
