  1. +1 for speed camera alerts as the beeps I hear always roughly align with a verbal warning from Apple Maps about nearby cameras.
  2. I got a full tank when I picked up last month.
  3. Am picking mine up from Lexus Ipswich on Saturday. Sounds like I just managed to avoid the additional road tax as any increase will take it over the £40k mark.
  4. Mine’s coming into the dealers on the 23rd Sept and picking it up Saturday 1st. Could have been a couple of days earlier but the Saturday works best for me. My LS is now on 199,000 miles so will just miss out on taking it to 200k!
  5. I have a feeling that the current delays just don’t work well with the Lexus customer service model. The open order book must be much larger than it normally would be due to wait times. Their personal service just doesn’t scale - more customers to deal with simultaneously who are on average less happy than normal. As others have commented, their automated tracking facilities are pretty rudimentary and hit and miss compared to some other brands. When queues are short they are just there to complement a more personal service and provide an entry point into the Lexus Link ecosystem. They aren’t really helping to keep the customer informed in a very meaningful way in current times. What I don’t really get is the lack of response to changing circumstances. My salesman commented that he had to phone over 70 customers with updates. Surely they’d be better to automate a regular update. Granted, it’s less personal but at least it would be more consistently delivered and free them up to deal with individual queries. However, I’m not buying their customer service, I’m buying their car and I know I’m going to be happy with that when it does arrive, which is ultimately what I’m more interested in.
  6. Can understand why you have cancelled. At least mine was confirmed as MY22 when I pushed for info a couple of months ago so have reconciled myself to narrowly missing out on the updates.
  7. Had a call from dealer today and my date has been brought in a little to the 23rd September 🤞
  8. Yeah I ordered mine in December last year and finally seeing good progress. The actual build process doesn’t take too long, it’s getting to the head of the queue that takes time. Sounds like you’re nearly there kevtoon2905.
  9. Mine went into “Left the Factory” status as well today. My delivery date has always been quoted as 6th October. Hopefully it’ll be around then. Would be nice if it’s a few days earlier.
  10. Both say Build in Progress at present. They definitely changed something when I asked about the tracking as the app and web site started to reflect the build and shipping locations which weren’t showing before that.
  11. My dealer has been saying that mine has been in build since the 1st July with estimated delivery date of 6th October. The app wasn’t showing any status change so logged a ticket with Lexus Customer Relations. I got a new tracking notification email last week but status was still In Progress and then a notification on Monday that it had entered build. The app sounds like it’s about right given I’m being told mine will be delivered after yours. But I’ve also been told that mine is definitely MY22. I’ll be interested to get my next update!
  12. That’s great, I got good news yesterday too - expected date of 6th October with confirmation it’s a MY22 car. Would have liked to have the MY23 updates, but not too bothered as I want to be in the car as soon as possible.
  13. I see that the ES updates were announced today: https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/news/articles/lexus-es-receives-technology-and-style-upgrades-for-2023-r150/
  14. I just called my dealer for an update. Mine is still a non-covered order, last update was 23rd September, this has now moved to 7th October and I have no faith in that date either. Re. the MY23 changes they did confirm that the infotainment will be updated, with delete of the touchpad and DVD. They couldn't provide anything firm but said that they have been told that cars being produced from the start of August will be MY23. I told my dealer that I would raise this with Lexus UK and have just filled in the online form as I couldn't find a phone number. I don't blame the dealer in any way, they are telling me what they know, but it just isn't good enough. I sympathise with the logistical challenges but have absolutely no tolerance for the abysmal communications and lack of information, especially regarding the MY23 updates. They either don't care, lack the resources to cope, or are intentionally not communicating as a strategy. None of these sit very well with me.
  15. Am still to hear back from my dealer as to whether mine is MY23. I ordered in December and expected delivery is late September currently. The infotainment change is a big deal and could make or break a sale based on individual preferences - it bemuses me that there is absolutely no announcement publicly about this from Lexus (well not one that I've seen anyway and I'm searching on a daily basis in anticipation). This kind of change isn't an overnight decision, makes me wonder whether it's a response to supply chain issues rather than a considered road map and therefore communications is playing catch-up.
