  1. My GS recently shut off whilst driving and the mechanic is pretty sure it's the fuel pump he says , what are my options for replacement at reasonable low cost . Would the 2006 onwards part fit as it is still the same car but different part numbers?

Once he has taken it out he will check in more detail but when looking online it seems the pump is a separate part to the actual plastic case which I think Is called the sender or float?

Is there any compatible aftermarket pumps that would fit?

Anyone ever had to change the pump on the MK3 gs300 ?

As a replacement gearbox i may have access to part number 35010 - 30B20.

I have tried various vehicles and i just cannot pin down to what vehicle this would relate to or to see if it is an A960E at all. Can anyone with more knowledge see if theyt can narrow it down to what car it relates to ?

So i have had two people come back to me with part numbers for a GS300 gearbox that they have taken off the vehicle . The part number they seem to state which is on the sticker of the gearbox itself is 35010 - 30B20.

I called up Local Lexus dealership and asked if they could check the number on their systems to see which year GS it relates to and nothing ! it does not show up or bring anything up on the system ....seems rather odd

It most probabbly will be like for like but i just wanted to narrow it down to what year or spec so just to be sure and to see what differences they are if any at all

Yeah i should really update my status to show UK , based in East Midlands

  4. As a replacement gearbox i may have access to part number 35010 - 30B20.

  5. So i did the ecu swap and this did not resolve the issue and so it is looking like i will have to have the gearbox replaced !

It is the A960E and part number should be 35010 - 30B60, however i am being offered part number 35010 - 30B20. I cannot see anywhere what the difference is or if it is an A960E at all ?

  6. My car drives and idles perfectly , however it will not engage gears 4,5 and 6. Smooth changes from 1, 2 and 3 and that's it ! so limited to 35ish mph

Error codes suggesting shift solenoid C , had this changed and refilled twice of fluid but still the same issue . No longer shift solenoid error code

Was advised to swap gearbox but after reading many forums it seems it could be faulty ECU and so im in the process of trying this before either swapping the gearbox or something else more costly

  7. Hi

Im going to attempt swapping ECU's , does anyone know if there would be any issues if he part number is slightly different ?

My current one is or is supposed to be 89666 - 30371  , I may have access to 89666 - 30373 which is for models 04.2006-07.2006

Has anyone had any experience with ecu swapping ? any advice will be much appreciated

  8. What is the correct gearbox part number for a MK3 55 Plate GS300? i know its either the A960E or The A760E but what is the part number . Ive tried the EPC but it wont show the number for the complete gearbox

Looking to replace mine with a used one as it has failed and after changing the solenoid C as per the error code the mechanics have stated that the issue is still there

There is one with part number 35010-30A00 what vehicle would this be from ? i believe it is from a Japanese import

I just cant justify in scrapping the vehicle as it is in very good condition

  9. It will be an expensive job !

    Any update on this ?

Ive been having the same issue , error was shift solenoid C and so i first did a drain and refill of the gearbox fluid and this did not cure it after which i had it booked in with a gearbox specialist who advised that changing the solenoid may not cure or may just cure it for a while this was because there was a lot of metal shavings in the drain pan and so i took the risk of changing the solenoid anyway

After doing this the garage have said that the fault is still there ! and that it is from the actual moving parts and so a full strip is needed to see what the fault is ...

So its either that or a used gearbox if wanting to keep the car

  10. Im pretty sure they are not a legal requirement to pass MOT for vehicles prior 2012

I just had two changed on my GS and as i have the tech stream and cable did the coding myself , took me quite while as i have not played about with tech stream for a log time

A right PIA these TPMS sensors , but yeah the feeling you get when those flashing lights go away !

I just have one more light to get rid off , VSC thing but could be anything as ive read on here like a dodgy fuel cap and so will start with that

  11. I used  a basic ring one i think it was the other day , stopped half way through and so i thought the plug may have popped out of the cigarette lighter socket only to find out that there was smoke coming out of it and the the plug has started to melt !! and now the 12v port is no longer working

going to have to take the whole thing apart to see what it looks like underneath !

Fuses seem okay but may have to check with a meter or something just to be sure
