  1. Thanks for the 'crabbing' replies guys, they were very helpful and put my mind at ease. I notice from the Mercedes post you linked to, that a change of tyre manufacturer can get rid of the problem. Do you have any suggestions in this regard? Thanks guys. Harry
  2. When I am moving forward slowly on full lock there is a shuddering sound and feeling from the front wheels. It seems as though the wheels are being pushed sideways by the forward motion of the car. Anyone have any ideas what is causing it?
  3. My 4 year old granddaughter thought the reversing sensors on my 2013 RX450h were neat little buttons and has managed to push two of them hard enough to drop behind the bumper.😬 I have a tow bar fitted, so getting at them to re-fit is a pain. I have managed to get them back into the holes and push them in, but they have about 2 or 3mm still to go and no amount of pushing will shift them further. Does anyone know if there is a latch of some sort on the sensors that I'm missing? Also does anyone want to adopt a cute but mischievous grandchild?
  4. Is 'Self levelling' suspension the same as 'Air suspension' on the RX450h?
  5. Thanks Colin and Grandad, most useful information. Seems Lexus never could get their wheels sorted out. I was lucky with the 400h, wheels are still in good nick. Keep you posted when I get the replacement.
  6. Hi my friends. Having had a most enjoyable year owning & driving a 57 reg RX 400h I am now in a position to by a 450 h around 2012/2014. l am anxious to avoid models with air suspension so can anyone tell me conclusively which they are? Thanks, Harry.
  7. l have had the familiar battery problem twice with my 2007 RX 400 h, once when the doors were left open while working on the car, and again after a long phone call while stationary and with the side lights on. First time needed a jump start and second time the battery recovered after a few minutes standing. I am now in the process of replacing interior light bulbs with led's to reduce drain. Also, despite my auxiliary battery being fairly new I am looking to replace it with an A G M leisure battery if l can find the size. They are not designed for engine starting and can cope with deep discharge cycles without damage. Harry
