  1. Hi All I was wondering if anyone here had any experience using the Carista OBD2 for scanning the car? I was just playing around with it to see the functions, but when scanning the car I had few equipment with errors saying "Failed to check". Now I understand this is not exactly saying there is an error, but some of these functions aren't exactly something I want to have problems with. does anyone know what this means and if I need to do something about it?
  2. Hi Colin Thanks for sharing the information. I did buy a Carista OBD2 and changed some of the functions, but I came across the option for "lower passenger-side mirror when in reverse gear" and I have the option to put it on "Default" or "User-Specified". Would you know if this could mean my car supports this function or its just on the cars computer as a default? Regards, Amir
  3. Hi Kenneth Would you mind sharing the link of the particular model you have bought?
  4. Hi All I am looking to enable some options in my car that I'm not sure if my car has them, I would really appreciate it if any one can let me know if my car model has these functions and if yes how exactly I can enable them. My car model is a IS 300h F-sport 2013 1. "To Set Reverse Mirror Tilt In The Lexus", I have read on some of the posts that if you have this option you should put the mirror button on "R" or "L" and it should work. Also people are referring to F-Sport model that should have this function. Is my car to old to have this function? or is this one the options that you have to connect a computer to the car to enable it? 2. "Remote key activation of the electric widows" So as I understand this is defo one of the options that you can only enable with a computer, does anyone know if my car model has this function? if yes could you please recommend one? I have the icarsoft cr pro but I cant find the function to customise anything it seems like its only a diagnostic tool, or am I missing something? Other recommendations I've seen on the posts were Carista which comes with a subscription is there a model that you wont need the subscription and you can use any time? I was also recommended to use Carly which cost £73.89 plus £51 to upgrade it for all brands, but the Customization option is in beta. Has anyone used this model before? 3. "Fold mirrors when locking" from the posts I can see your car only has this if you have the auto button next to the mirror, I was looking at after market options such as "https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000551521228.html?_randl_currency=GBP&_randl_shipto=GB&src=google&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=708-803-3821&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&albagn=888888&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&albcp=9604713100&albag=99283534296&trgt=313429380675&crea=en4000551521228&netw=u&device=c&albpg=313429380675&albpd=en4000551521228&gclid=Cj0KCQiAraSPBhDuARIsAM3Js4puG2LtFm78nGbMgshlvwV7O3mI225Kl-wd4bY9Pmvnj8uZ88alWtUaAvVOEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&aff_fcid=94995c4f2bc74611a3f4bfb3ecfadf9d-1642708791687-05996-UneMJZVf&aff_fsk=UneMJZVf&aff_platform=aaf&sk=UneMJZVf&aff_trace_key=94995c4f2bc74611a3f4bfb3ecfadf9d-1642708791687-05996-UneMJZVf&terminal_id=8bcc414f7e1a4241a21f234aa5af2fea&afSmartRedirect=n" but it seems a bit complicated as you have to switch wires for UK cars, is it possible to get this part from Lexus and install it, if yes does anyone know the part number? Sorry for the long post, I would appreciate any help. Regards,
  5. Thanks for the information John its interesting to know why, but I wasn't going to use it, I was just asking if anyone knows what I can use to seal the leak and top it up instead. I assume the gas you recommend can't seal the leak and its just for topping up. Can you use the standard air-con trigger to use this? I was looking at https://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-and-fluids/air-con/superseal-air-conditioning-leak-sealant-mrl-3-134448.html for sealing but im not sure if it has any PAG oil
  6. Hi all I hope you are all well. On my last service for the car I was told my air-conditioning has a very small leak. They told me they will have to investigate further to find where its leaking from and if its the seal it will cost me around £150 to replace, but if its the main unit, it will cost £500. As they mentioned it was a small leak, I thought I can use https://www.halfords.com/motoring/engine-oils-and-fluids/air-con/ez-chill-auto-air-conditioning-recharge---gas-r134a-264627.html to fix it myself as I have done in the past on combustion engine. As this is my first hybrid car I noticed on the can I mentioned it says not suitable for hybrid vehicles. Does anyone knows what type of gas you need for Is 300h model and ideally if anyone knows any reliable brand that I can get to fill the gas and seal the leak? Regards, Amir
  7. Hi Barry I've been to two Lexus garages (as I moved house) both told me the recommendation from Lexus is to have comprehensive service once every two years and the essentials on the other years. As John kindly shared what it includes some checks such as replacing the brake fluid is once every two years in comprehensive service. There are also other service plans recommended by Lexus that are more expensive. I can't remember how often, but the first one is when you reach 60k miles / 6 years old. This costs around £600 something and I got £100 off since I only did 35k miles in 6 years. The main difference was that they change the spark plugs. I am pretty sure the service doesn't worth the price they charge, but I am not an expert. I believe this is the service Alif is talking about as well.
  8. 15 years Warranty on the hybrid battery? I didn't know they extended that, they told me 10 years when I bought mine last year. Does this apply to all Lexus models and year of manufacture or is it just the new ones?
  9. ORDER DETAILS PARTNUMBER: 1 x PW675-00A43 86271-48349;86271-48349;PW675-00A43; PRODUCT TOTAL € 165.00 FREIGHT € 20.56 SUBTOTAL: € 185.56 VAT € 38.97 TOTAL COST ALL INCLUSIVE: € 224.53 This is the total if you buy it from the dealer. Although I believe this is the only place where you can get a genuine one (if that matters to you). You can also buy online for around £40 or if you can find it online to download it. Although the SD card you will receive won't have any serial number as its not genuine despite what they might say, but if you can find the latest model it will work just fine. Just keep a record of your PN on your original SD card as it would help you to find the compatible map for your car in the future (e.g. 86271-53240).
  10. Hi Alif Just to let you know if you still have warranty on your battery you have to take it to a Lexus garage to keep the warranty (its a 10 year warranty that renews every year that you service it with Lexus). if you take it to an independent garage you will lose the warranty. Regards, Amir
  11. Hi Martin Do you have the latest version of the map on your car? I bought the SD card and installed it but on my car it says my map version is: EU 02-39-50-(2019-03-0). I know this isn't exactly a date format but the "(2019-03-0)" gives me the idea that this isn't the last year version. Could you please let me know what the version you have is on your car? To find the version, you need to go to the Main menu> Setting> Navigation> Map data.
  12. Hi Everyone I just purchased a map on eBay for my car from: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-Premium-Navigation-Micro-SD-Card-Sat-Nav-EU-UK-RUS-MAP-Ver-2-2020/282672641279?epid=15037773983&hash=item41d09a34ff:g:ZYoAAOSwmY1alm8a The map I have been advised to purchase by https://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/ is 15MM EMVN 2019Q2 (Spring 2020 Map Update), Item: PW675-00A43. And the cod on my old SD card is 86271-53240. The guy on the eBay said its genuine Lexus map he is selling and that it's a Ver2 2020. However, the SD card I received has no part number (on eBay page its PZ445-US335-0T), and after installing it, I checked my map data on the car, and it says my map version is: EU 02-39-50-(2019-03-0). I know this isn't exactly a date format but the "(2019-03-0)" gives me the idea that this is the last year version. Could someone help me to find out if I have the latest version or been given the wrong map? Or if you have the latest map, could you let me know what the version you have is? To find the version, you need to go to the Main menu> Setting> Navigation> Map data. Thank you.
  13. Its usually because they download it for free and just make a copy and sell it.
  14. Hi Guys I have a Lexus IS300h 2013 model. My current navigation system is "Lexus Premium Navigation (13MM)" The map I have been advised to purchase by https://www.lexus-mapupdates.eu/ is 15MM EMVN 2019Q2 (Spring 2020 Map Update), Item: PW675-00A43. would this even be compatible with my car? ORDER DETAILS PARTNUMBER: 1 x PW675-00A43 86271-48349;86271-48349;PW675-00A43; PRODUCT TOTAL € 165.00 FREIGHT € 20.56 SUBTOTAL: € 185.56 VAT € 38.97 TOTAL COST ALL INCLUSIVE: € 224.53 € 224.53 is just ridiculous for an update can someone recommend a reliable place to get it for free or cheaper price? I have been looking online and either the year of the car doesn't match or the part number. Few of these pages I have been looking at are: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-Premium-Navigation-Micro-SD-Card-Sat-Nav-EU-UK-RUS-MAP-Ver-2-2020/282672641279?epid=15037773983&hash=item41d09a34ff:g:ZYoAAOSwmY1alm8a (it says "LEXUS IS - 2014 on" https://toyotamaps.online/map-updates/toyota-lexus-navigation-gen9-microsd-update (also says IS (2014-present)) and https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/2020-2021-lexus-premium-sat-nav-sd-card-navigation-map-update-652-p.asp (but the PN is PZ445-US335-0U) Can someone help me to get the right map?
