  1. Thank you for the reply, can I ask where from and lastly did you do this yourself?
  2. Hiya Mick, Wondered how you got on with this job, I'm now in the same position for all four bushings? Many thanks, Theo
  3. Similar to yourself it's more to do with the time of life. My first car was a Vauxhall Cavalier, which I purchased at an auction in east London. However, I enjoyed my 3rd car a 2-litre Opel Manta young, free, and single. Rover SD1 3.5 was also great too. More recently I had an early Boxster and several MX-5s as I try and go and do a track day every year. Would like a later 2009 2.9-litre Boxster at some point. Currently have an early Mazda Eunos which suits my budget and weekend fun car. Aston Martin would be nice too!
  4. 'You Do Anything Do Nothing..!!! Thanks Ronnie...put the car on my CTek charger for an hour, and now works fine. The battery is only 3 years old, might be cold weather related. Will just see how it goes.
  5. Thank you for the reply Ronnie...how did you recalibrate it? I'm guessing some kind of reset.
  6. What was your favourite and why?
  7. The car hasn't been involved in any collision. It was fine yesterday when I drove it and I went to start today and the dashboard lights are all on. It was cold last night and the SRS warning has now appeared on the dashboard display. Any thoughts or assistance would be helpful. Many thanks, Theo
  8. Love the response...very funny, Pete. Well, passed the MOT with no advisories. Drives really well and the only person likely to feel sick going by pass boating experiences is me. My wife didn't bat an eyelid, while I was as sick as a parrot. Will leave it this year I think. If I keep the car will possibly look at ordering two new lower arms and getting them replaced by a mechanic next year. Many thanks, Theo
  9. Thanks for the advice. Will sit tight for now. Literally bought some silicone spray for the slow window movement on another car so will give that a go too.
  10. Hiya Andrew, The car drives and feels brilliant, it's approaching 100k, has no knocks or sounds anywhere.
  11. Thanks Pete, love the LS 400 by the way. Looked at the links, intesting and good starting point. 👍 Really trying to understand if the lower arm needs to be removed or can bushes be replaced while lower arm is still on the car. Also as not on MOT advisory is this an issue. Any videos or knowledge would be great.
  12. Hiya All, I have a 2010 RX450h car and it has just had an MOT and service at Lexus. The Lexus techinician has highlighted that the front bushes are worn, however this is not an advisory on the MOT. The bill from Lexus for this job is £2,300. The real question is can just the bushes be replaced or is it the whole lower arm and secondly has anyone done this job themselves? Many thanks, Theo
  13. I have a RX 450h MY 2010, which I love driving. I just purchased a wiper blade from LexusPartsDirect, the retail code is 85212-YZZTJ and on the search comes under the Phase III RX models. I struggled to put the new blade on and ended breaking the connection clip. Really can't see how this new blade fits, has anyone had similar experience or advice? Many thanks, Theo
  14. Thanks Gents, Your right Rich, I always remember my Dads, Rover SD1 3.5 and his Ford Granada Scorpio 2.9, I was lucky enough to drive them both in my early twenties... Okay..it currently runs on Goodyear on the front and Bridgestones on the back, I will replace the back soon with Bridgestone. 👍 Thanks, Theo
  15. Hiya All, I purchased a Rx450h yesterday after much debating. I wanted a non diesel larger car... Well it is much larger and my son is now calling the new car, "The Beast". Does anyone know the actual tyres that were originally fitted on this car? Many thanks, Theo
