  1. My alarm was triggered one time since I have my car. It was a fly or a wasp locked inside the car. I saw it flying out when I opened the door. After that it was quiet and no more alarms since then. I would say this alarm system is pretty much sensite for what kind of things are moving inside your locked car :). best d.
  2. Hiya there 200h, I changed from summer 18" tyres (2 years old) to new 17" winter tyres recently. I did not observed any radical change or correction of how Lexus is showing the speed. Tolerance is quite big I would say. I need to drive 108-109km/h (Lexus analog speedometer) that I reach actual speed of 100km/h - according to GPS. With this HUD I calibrated it so that it shows actual real speed when driving which is at least more convenient for me. best, d.
  3. Hi, as requested. Here are two pics. It is day and visibility is superb. Durring the night or when in the tunnel the device dims itself. What is very good is that you can calibrate HUD device to the actual real speed you are driving. For the reference I used my GPS Sygic which I have on my Samsung mobile phone. I recognized that my Lexus is showing speed about 8km/h wrong when driving 100km/h. I need to Drive 108km/h that I achieve real 100km/h, I'm quite surprise for such big tolerance as my previous Peugeout were almost totally correct in showing my speed. Would like to hear any comments in regards to that. Anyway now I calibrated my C100 HUD and it is showing the same real speed as it is on GPS. best wishes, Davor.
  4. Few months ago in another theme I mentioned that want to try a HUD display as I'm missing digital speedometer in my Lexus IS300h Luxury edition pretty much. Specifications and also seller told me that it might not work with the hybrid and electric cars. Anyway, I decided to pull a trigger and I bought this HUD device as it was not expensive and I also saw online that the same model works perfectly well with normal IS300 (non-hybrid) car. I ordered on Aliexpress in August and first package did not came to me from China as it was bouncing for 2 months in Beijing airport and at the end it was returned back to the seller. I ordered again in November and today item arrived. I plugged the OBD2 connector into the OBD2 slot in the car, started the car and HUD is working from the first. The only thing that I changed in the settings is that device turns itself off after 180s instead of 20s. HUD turns off for a millisecond when the car switches from normal motor to electric mode and 180s is in my opinion more than enough that it does not comes to that anymore. This is also recommended in the manual of the device for a hybrid-electric or start-stop systems. I like its minimalistic look as for me showing the speed is the only thing I need. Another good thing is that you are able to calibrate the speedometer so that it really shows very occurate speed while driving. Also visibility of the speed is very good and hud is adapting brightness automatically. Also hiding of a wire that goes from OBD2 to the Hud device I mostly hidden without any problem. Best regards, D.
  5. Nope, only random or flld random is selected and every time we start the car it plays the last song until the end and then it makes a new shuffle list. It just not exclude the songs that were already played before.
  6. Hiya, actually there are some players for Android that they can do that. So they shuffle the complete list of songs and remembers what they played and what they did not yet. But yeah you will need to use a phone and Bluetooth. So this is another device. Or to install 3rd party Android Auto media hardware into Lexus.. But yeah god knows what problems can bring that in. So until some years, at least I have a warranty for my car I will need to improvise I suppose. best d.
  7. Yeah, so I guess we miss a bit of advanced code programing for car audio systems. But I see that you are dealing with this problem also on RX. Random is good for long journeys, but even here for those without stopping. For short journeys it is just not good at all. Same songs might come over and over again and some might never be played at all, specially if we have a big collection of songs on USB. By this, when listening USB media I will rather listen to the songs in the linear order as I will be less disturbed. For more advanced listening the only option now I see is to use phone, streaming via Bluetooth and using of media players on phone. Those players that prevents double play of same songs when shuffle play is selected. best, d.
  8. I'm relatively new owner of Lexus IS300h and enjoy it for this first month. At the same time I'm also discovering various functions and features that they are offered. One of the hiccup that I discovered is that random function for audio system when playing audio via USB is not working correctly on IS300h. I would judge that program code for multimedia is just not written correctly. For the reference I have 2018 model of Lexus IS300h with Mark Levinson audio system. When playing audio and selecting random function to shuffle music on my USB it will start and play random for the time being of your single ride. As soon as you will make a stop and turn your vehicle down random table of already played songs will be deleted. What this means? You will start the car. The song you were listening last will continue and finish but it will happen sooner or later that songs that you were listening in the your previous ride will come up again. Correct playing with random function ON would be that the audio system remembers the songs that were already played during all the rides, no matter if a car was started or stopped 100 times in between. Same songs should not be repeated until all the songs from the random table are played out, or until the USB media is removed, or if random key function is pressed again. So random function is a bit useless on Lexus IS300h. I read on American Lexus forum that this is common also for other owners so I guess there is no solution or trick to solve this issue. It is better to listen to the music in linear order as they are put on USB stick. This way we will at least avoid that some songs are picked over and over again. Any experiences from you? Alternative is also to stream music via Bluetooth and use media player from your phone and random function there. But I like minimalistic solutions and have my favorite collection of music on USB and use the features that are provided with the car. But I guess it is not possible? best wishes, D.
  9. I got an answer from Lexus representative. "Show speed limit info" is disabled for IS300h if they have RSA system present. But I guess that they disabled this in late 2017 as for some here, with cars within year 2017, this NAV speed limit info is still operational, even though they have RSA. I would say you are lucky :). He also said that currently there is no trick to enable this. So only alternative is to use smartphone.
  10. Yeah, I also heard from my colleague who has Toyota Rav4 from 2018 that RSA and Speed limit info on the NAV system are working and not excluding each other.
  11. I just sent a question to our Lexus dealer through E-mail together with pictures and I will see if I will get an answer. But my expectations are pretty low. best, d.
  12. Hi and thank you for providing also photos. This is exactly what I have too. Settings for speed limit is missing also in your case. My car is one year older than yours. I start to believe that Lexus disabled that feature for newer models of IS due to the RSA setting which can be contradictory what the "Speed limit information" provides. That also shows some short instruction on the Navigation manual page 81 where for Speed limit icon stands *2 stating the following - Without RSA (Road Sign Assist). Anyway I find RSA feature quite unreliable as it does not know when the speed limit stops and another category starts. Also sometimes make some reading errors with traffic signs and I would definitely prefer info that is available directly from the map software. best, D.
  13. As I see that you have more new version of IS300h, can I ask you kindly if you can explore if you have "Show speed limit info" under the Setup \ Navigation and if it is working for you? Thanks for your feedback. best, d.
  14. Car is production date 2017 and first registration in 2018. Map version is: 02-37-51-(2017-05-1) EU Software (firmware) info is the following: Model ID: 15LWENEU-BB01 Hard No.: 86130-53S13 Navigation: VC83102E I guess "Show speed limit info" is somehow locked out of my settings. I read that with map update you also are able to update firmware. But I do not have idea if this setting will come with it. Best regards, D.
  15. No way. I just sat in the car and had manual with me. I do not have an option in the Navigation settings to turn "Show speed limit info" to ON. This setting is just not there, white the others are.
  16. I have the same map version as you. But no way I can get this feature to turn "speed limit info" on as it is absent from the menu. I will still play a bit with the settings of the navigation menu and try to select another country as a base and see. thanks for your answer, best regards, D.
  17. Derant, are you able to see which version of navigation software you have? And also what settings you have under the MENU \ Setup \ Navigation. Do you have a "Show speed limit info"? I miss this option from the menu so I'm unable to turn it on. Nothing helps either RSA enabled or disabled. Another thing that I'm miss is also to see how much time is there to the destination or time of arrival to destination. All these features my simple Nokia phone navigation had already in 2008. p.s. it seems there are others who have the same problem. best, d.
  18. Hello there, I come here to ask you owners of Lexus IS300h. I have this car for few weeks now. Currently I'm dealing with the features of navigation. Car is year 2018 and with RSA. I have a navigation version from 2017 installed in the car. I'm unable to persuade navigation to show me the speed limit for certain road in the form of a small traffic sign on the navigation display. I read the manual and there it say that this is only possible without RSA (Road Sign Assist). I have the car with this feature but this. I do not like RSA so much as it is not so precise. I disabled RSA in the settings. But still nothing comes up on the navigation so that I can see the real speed limit that is defined by the map. Also in the settings for Navigation I'm unable to find any option to enable "Show Speed limit info" as defined in the manual? Where is it hiding? Does that means that cars with RSA feature does not have a chance to display a speed limit on the navigation display of the map? Thank you kindly for your answers and help.
  19. I just bought one OBD2 C100 speedometer. Very simple one, only showing speed. That is all I need. We will see how it will work and will report back when I get it from China :). Good thing is that I know that on Lexus IS300t is working, but let's see if it will work also on hybrid version of the car. best, d.
  20. Does anybody use a C100 HUD speedometer display or any other that can be pluged into OBD2 connection port and obtained relatively cheap on eBay or Aliexpress? Does it work or it is not compatible with Lexus cars? Thank you for your answer.
  21. Thanks pal will check in evening to see. Do you know if version of the maps can be checked under the navigation software? best regards, Davor.
  22. Thanks for your reply. So I have like this. So this just bellow the Mark Levinson panel? best regards, Davor.
  23. I just become a happy owner of Lexus IS 300h (2018). Can someone please guide me to the location where this SD slot with a card of maps for navigation is located? Not currently at the car to explore more but would like to do it when I'm at home, Thank you for your answer, Davor.
