  1. Thanks for reply surely not okay to be driving this car for the month while I’m waiting for this
  2. turns out you are spot on mate I brought it in today and it was taken for a test drive. Every time we turned and put weight on the left side you could hear the noise. they have quoted me €699/£595 to 'replace lhf wheel bearing', €420 of which is for 'HUB & BEARING' and I guess €195 to look at it and fix it. Seems quite steep. I also have to change the waterpump which will cost €374/€318 Heres the thing, the girl I spoke with this evening said I could drive it when I asked but they don't have an appointment to fit it until early January (they have to order the part). I have to say I am nervous about driving it til then, I do 70kms each day for work. What do you think? thank you
  3. Thank you, it was a minor service after clocking up 10,000 km
  4. Hi all I had my car serviced about 3-4 weeks ago. I have no time to bring it in this week but I have noticed a slight growl from the engine. I have ensured I don't have the voiume up on that silly noise simulator. Normally the car is very quiet but now when I drive there is a continuous low growl and I have no idea what it is. I don't have any warning lights or anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It is 110,000 miles on it now
  5. what did this thread become anyway, what is the performance difference between f-sport and executive? Thanks
  6. Hi all I own a 2014 IS300h Executive A colleague of mine in another part of the country has an F Sport and raves about it. I know nothing about the F Sport or its differences versus the Executive Would there be any benefits to switching? What does the F Sport do differently/better? Thank you
  7. The IS250 definitely has plenty more to offer for now
  8. I have a 300h from 2014 with 100k on the clock All good thus far, regularly serviced at Lexus main dealer
  9. Hello all Great forum, I have already had some help with a question so thank you. I own a Lexus IS300h as can be seen in my profile photo and below, I just absolutely love the car and believe I will always drive Lexus. I am slightly heartbroken the new model will not be coming to these shores next year. Previous to that I owned the IS 220d as can be seen on my cover photo in my profile and below. See you around
  10. Thank you so much for the welcome and replies! Appreciate that. You reminded me that he did say there was a shutter issue. So will replacing the headlight solve this do you feel? Also it is a second hand headlight which they said has "a small bit of condensation"
  11. Hello all, Really nice forum Quick question if you don't mind. I bought a Lexus IS300h in Dublin in late 2018. It is a 2014 car imported from the UK. ITs been a great car. I've had it serviced a number of times at the Lexus and Toyota main dealer near where I live (twice a year at least). The last time and most recently I said to them that a lot of cars are flashing me at night thinking I have full headlights on when I don't. One of the guys working there said the lights can be dipped further however the other guy said he thought they were fine. I asked them to address this yesterday when I visited for tyres and tracking as they are obviously too bright, particularly the one on the drivers side which I noticed is brighter than the passenger side. Every car coming against me at night is flashing me like crazy and its blinding for them and for me!! So yesterday they had a look and came out and asked me if it has ever been in a crash, I said no not to my knowledge. I was asked if it had been through the NCT/MOT and I said yes, soon after I first got it and it is due another one in December. They said there is a problem with the headlight and a new one will cost €800. I declined this and said maybe I will do it later. So they said for now we will dip them a little bit further however they said there is no gaurantee the lights will stay dipped. After doing this I was told a second hand headlight is available for €350. Now before I do that I just want to check with everyone if they have ever had a similar issue? Thank you
