I was very interested to read your ‘first long journey’ experience.
I have always admired the LS460 for its combination of luxury, performance, acceptable mpg considering its performance and reliability.
We are weighing up buying one against an XC70 (D5 version) and I noticed you previously owned one.
I am not a big diesel fan but the practicality, mpg, relative reliability, AWD and comfort is enticing.
I would very much appreciate your take on how the 2 cars compare in your experience .
Just to put a bit of perspective on use. Our usage would be as a daily driver doing around 6-9000 miles a year including some continental long trips. As we live abroad about half the year it would be garaged and not used for 4-6 months. Only the 2 of us but we always seem to fill up every car we have!
