  1. My LS460 (2007) went in for its MOT yesterday and on driving the night before my front HID bulb went but also the Tyre pressure sensor warning light came on. The garage put the car on the diagnostic machine and it showed TPS no 1 so I am unsure as to which one that is? It has turned off so with the bulb replaced it went through the MOT yet on an early run today the light is back on so I need to change the sensor or do I change all of them? Can anyone recommend a make to go for? is it usual to change the one and if so how do you know which one? Or do I change all four? any help and advice would be appreciated thanks
  2. The ones from PSB, I purchased the whole set but only had the main upper suspension arms fitted due to the needs of last years MOT
  3. With my LS430 I bought an aftermarket part however during the replacement process it was evident it was not the correct part, the supplier could not supply the correct one so genuine from Lexus was fitted
  4. Hi I have not lubricated mine and they have been on for a year and 3500 miles
  5. Hi I have them fitted from the same supplier in Bournemouth on my 460 and they have been great, no noise and a good ride. A much cheaper option
  6. Hi when I did my research I replaced mine with Michelin Pilot 4’s and they turned out very good but for 19’s expect to pay around £850 for four
  7. Hi yes small difference for the better with noise and comfort plus an improvement in feel. I have driven about 200 miles since and am pleased with the choice.
  8. When I needed wiper blades for the 430 I went to my local Hedge End Lexus main dealer and they were about £35 ( going back about 5 yrs!) and they also fitted them for me and in the 12 yrs of ownership I only recall changing these the once so worth considering. PS with Club Membership you can get up to 15% off
  9. Just search on eBay using the part number you gave and I have just seen two adverts, I think the price was £48 I have had 3 of my cars have broken springs this year which I guess can only be bad luck. good to hear you are putting the 400 back on the road good luck
  10. Hi Malc, thanks and hopefully I will keep this one for a while (I had my LS430 to over 10 years and 100K plus miles) I am doing more work around Europe now so it will eat up the miles in comfort. Cheers PJ
  11. Just collected my car today after having the sway bar and top suspension arms bushes renewed with the PSB Polly replacements and very happy with the result. A better feel and a more planted ride which brings back the magic carpet feel. Well worth doing and now a clean bill of health on the next MOT (I hope!) PS bushes are supplied with special lube so this far no squeaks, lets see what happens in a year or so's time!
  12. My car finally went in to the garage for the bushes to be replaced and in conversation with the garage decided to fit the sway bar and top control arm bushes which were the ones listed on the MOT and as the others were all ok leave those until they needed to be done. As I am fitting them as an upgrade of standard bushes in polly rather than for performance that made good sense to me. In all the work took 4 hours. I picked the car up this morning and immediately felt the difference. It was like driving a much tighter car at the front and feeling more planted on the road. A job well worth doing and I am very pleased with the result not to mention the cost advantage over the new arms from Lexus. I have no connection with PSB in Bournemouth, the bush supplier, but would happily recommend them to any of our members. So Up to London at the weekend for my first long trip with this improved magic carpet ride!
  13. Hi Cazzy G Thanks for the update. I have my regular garage ready to book the time in once we have an idea of how long yours take! I'm thinking possibly a day a side but as you are doing yours i'll wait and see. Thanks for your input PJ
  14. Hi I have just bought a set of bushes for the front end of my LS460 which I think is more or less the same as the LS600 and wondered if you could share the number of hours the garage charged for the work as I really have little idea and I am phoning the garage for a quote but pretty sure they won’t have done one before. Thank you and really good to hear your car is giving you great service and pleasure to drive.
