  1. In the pre 2018 model im now getting an avg of 46 on eco mode and the e10 fuel, highest tank was 48 avg. Full tank hit around 550 miles. The runs was 2 weeks to work, same time of day ect. mix of motorway and A roads 36 miles round trip. Im a truck driver, so called "Trained" in safe and fuel efficient driving.
  2. welcome to the re home of bmw drivers 🙂 i had a 420i and moved into a RC 300h a few months back and looked back since, its a good move 🙂 Happy hunting
  3. I agree, I like the fresh look of white but I do have a soft spot for that blue 🥰
  4. I agree, i did my homework on the rc, most motoring press gave it a hard time compared to the German cars.
  5. Afternoon, As said on my first post here on the owners club we came to a deal and I got the car. It is a 2018 RC300h Black Edition, had 30k and full dealer history. Having owned it for a week im glad we was able to get a deal on it in the end. Compared to the 4 series its a different class of car. The quality of finish inside is superior on all levels. I had a 420i sport with leather, and a few extra's but nothing compared to the RC. I had a 6 speed manual so i cant really compare on how the gearbox are as the RC has the cvt auto box. On paper the BMW is quicker but honestly I cant tell, the BMW is lighter this I can tell, especially when it comes to the brakes and rolling it into a bend. Im a truck driver so i can easily get used to slow in fast out if required (also had 2 Mitsubishi GTO's that required this). Boot space is a bit smaller on the RC but can still fit golf clubs in no problem and the rear seats are a waste of space on the RC. But i know its hard to believe after all that but i still prefer the RC miles above the BMW. Just the looks alone, I love this car from every angle. Iv had more people come up to us in 1 week than the 2 years I had the 420. The reflection in the shop windows as you drive past just puts a smile on my face. Kids think its from Batman. Its a great design that turns heads and don't just blend in with the German's. The interior is supreme, the leather is soft and supple, the seats hold you well and can do hours of driving without knowing it. The infotainment system with the mouse pad needs some time to get used to as well as setting up the satnav as voice controls dont understand us very well. MPG i think are just made up from the dealer. I had the BMW on around 42mpg avg, this first half tank driving in eco and fuel efficiently and im returning 47mpg. Granted its been hot and air cons been on (via eco mode) but was hoping to hit the 50's. So today i gave her a clean and yes relied why i went a number of years without a black car again. What a pain to clean and wax up, If thiers any good wax's people use let us know, iv had a go with the turtle wax jet ice and nope cant get the smears out, moved onto my truck detailer Chrome Pink which has worked for now but any advice would be welcomed. I also have the Maguire's ceramic spray ready to use when i get the power washer out. Has anyone used that and how are the results. Here's a few pics
  6. Good News, We came to an agreement and I picked the car up yesterday. Very happy with the car on the way home, although cant get anywhere near the so called mid 50's MPG so far... 🙄
  7. The dealer has since called up with a better deal so will go back in over the next few days and see what's on offer.
  8. Again thank you for the use full info, Its always great to be able to pop on an owners club and feel welcomed and not just passed links to other topics started months or years ago. Just a quick look found this https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202103250568076 I love the blue and cream but I fear it has the lesser audio system as you mentioned. I will continue to keep my eyes out even with the option to move onto the 200t, The hybrid is not a big buying point for me but certainly the design of the car is. Only problem i can see with the 200t is it only ran production for a small amount of time.
  9. Thanks for all the extra info, I had my PX qoute back today and what my finace would be fore the car and its coming in a little more than hoped. Also on top of this it does have the extra road tax on top at £360 + the normal road tax. Think im going to be a little over what my budget can get on this Special Edition version. Im trying to stick to a budget so im guessing maybe look for a non dealer approved rc or a slightly older one.
  10. Yes i think this is the case, also the car is list priced at 45k so i will have to pay the additional £380 on top of the standard tax untill 2023 which is a factor i didnt see coming on a monthly cost 😞
  11. Thanks for the quick response, The car is a 2018 and has 30k on the clock. On the test drive seemed everything was ok, Ev coming in on stop start traffic no problems and no warning lights on display. A quick blast through a city center and down a motorway lasting 30 min returned me over 40mpg. Really like the car but being new to hybrid tech not sure what to look out for on this car, seems if you do a generic " what to look out for on a rc300h" on google nothing comes back apart from the drive performance. I like the car not sure on the black wood panels on the interior, not sure if theirs options for a brushed aluminum insert later on. link for car below https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202105293241571?include-delivery-option=on&model=RC 300H&sort=relevance&radius=50&advertising-location=at_cars&make=LEXUS&postcode=me58ul&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used&page=1
  12. Hi looking to move from a bmw 420i in to a rc 300h, iv had a test drive and enjoyed the cabin space and design, the drive is something it lacks compared to the 420 though. the car seemed ok on test drive, is their anything i need to look out for on this model before handing any money over. It will be brought from a main dealer.
