As advised by the AA and others on these forums, I have been putting the car into ‘Ready Mode’ when hoovering the floor mats or loading / unloading the boot - something I have never had to do with any other car!
I have raised the matter with Lexus again.
As others have pointed out, the 12v Battery does not have the capacity that one would have fitted to ICE cars. I found this out the hard way when fitting front & rear dash cams during which I found myself locked inside the car on 2 occasions.
Yes, before the Battery fully depletes it goes in to “protect” mode and locks the car. Not fun having to climb from the front seat through to the boot to be able to use the manual release.
The low capacity 12v Battery works fine though after leaving the car for 3 weeks at an airport so I guess it does what it is designed to do & now I know what its limitations are I plan accordingly, it doesn’t really present any hardship.- 2

The clear vinyl strip does the job just fine.
I assume it is the same clear vinyl as that use to protect and wrap cars to fend off scratches and stone chips. If so I can assure you that it will last the test of time longer than plastic trim.

Last nights charge 45.7/41.1
Yesterdays actual 34 with 4 mile’s remaining, milder temperatures helping as Ken mentioned

I think I’d be asking the after sales manager to explain how this can be ok and why, if it is ok, there is a mandated level that manufacturers have for filling the oil level to.
If it’s a mixture of petrol and oil in there then they need to look at it. 1 inch of petrol just doesn’t naturally appear in the sump.- 2

Last nights 45.2/40.2 with yesterday’s actual a miserly 28, although 90% of that would have been on dual carriageway sat at around 60mph with a few roundabouts to negotiate

Also, should have added to my previous post above, each time the car has been back at the dealers for the 2-3 recalls by Lexus they have topped up the fuel tank from wherever it was when I left it.
My (very good) dealer told me that it was a Lexus HO requirement that dealers compensate customers for their costs incurred when cars have to come back in to dealerships for manufacturer recalls.

Full tank of fuel and full AV Battery when picked up, no complaints here

All such requests go via Lexus servers so the proximity of the phone to the car should be immaterial. My remote climate has been working most times lately though sometimes the climate starts normally well before I get the confirmation.
When I have had failures, sometimes clearing the app storage cache (NOT the data) and force stopping the app will sort it, but not always.
Thanks 👍, I didn’t know that re climate & door locking which always seem very quick to react. Must have been a coincidence 🤔

Last nights charge 48.1/42.8
Yesterday’s actual was 28 miles driven (50% dual carriageway, 50% Urban) with 3 remaining

@Gary H I had that same error once a few weeks ago. After seeing the error I started the remote climate again and moved my phone to a locate little closer to the garage and it worked fine.
I can only conclude that there is at times a ‘strength of signal’ issue- 2

Lexus rubber one which came with the “protection pack” on my 450h is very flimsy. Not recommended by my & not a patch on the much more heavy duty Lexus one which I had on my RX450.

For the passenger seatbelt knocking, I resolved that by moving the shoulder height adjustment to its lowest position. Seems to have at least minimised the knocking so far.
Other than that ours remains rattle/creak free 🤞🤞🤞

I was convinced that there was no warning sound from my 450h but have been informed that there is a low volume "hum" when manoeuvring or travelling at low speed.
No bleeps driving in either direction at low speed.

Like Ken there is a low “hum” which no one would hear in excess of a metre away

Mine has never made any sound when reversing and tbh I am pleased that it doesn’t.
I can only think that it must be a dealer activated option since others have also reported no bleeps when reversing

The last app let you pre programme the climate control.....not having to remember 15 miniutes before hand. This was available in the old app!,very slow responding! asks each time you want to use the climate feature even tho I tick the box saying I don't need to see this again.Just all round poor I. My opinion and lexus customer care worse, they respond even slower than the app.
App lets me programme climate control. It is possible to programme just 1 event or multiple events. Do you not have the ‘Climate Schedule’ option on yours (as below) which, once selected, takes you to another screen where you can select various climate control elements and input a schedule?

If it completed all of these features reliably it would be fine but the fact is it doesn't!
It does so for me though Ken, so perhaps the problem is not with the app but the comms module in the car?? 🤔

We got our NX350h towards the end of July 23 and we have been told today by the dealer that they have ordered our second key. However, no letter directly from Lexus yet. Wheel nuts? No idea.
I hope that they haven’t just ordered it today 🤔

I will ring Lexus on Tuesday when they are back open to politely explain that I’ve gone elsewhere.I hope you take as much pleasure when doing so as I have done twice in the past. Enjoy your moment the inflexible sales guy and the NX 👍👍

Ken, the charging cable on ours used to lock on to the car moments after attaching it but stopped doing so for some reason very early in the year.
I never thought anything about it until your post because it always charged ok and I only ever charge the car when it is in the garage.I also discovered that as soon as the car called for charging to start to cable then locked on. If you plug it in and then select charge now you should hear it lock on.
You’ve now got me wondering what may have caused it in the first place🤔
Changing to an f-sport???

Just to rectify the view that all the NX’s are the same, the reason I went for the F-Sport was for the AVS, which isn’t available on any other NX.
After experiencing AVS on the RX for 5 years I decided that it was something that I wanted to retain if downsizing to the NX.
Additionally I deduced that the Takumi only provided me with one option which I would have liked which is “Front cross alert assist,” but I wasn’t willing to shell out a further £4k and give up the AVS just to have front cross alert assist. I decided I could make do with the side view from the front cameras.
The seats in the F-Sport I find to be very comfortable and hugging, not quite as deep in the cushion as the RX F-Sport seats, but seats I can and have spent the biggest part of a day in.
