  1. Just to update this thread . I returned the car today for its Hybrid health check retest and passed . Thanks everyone for their input on this topic
  2. Appreciate your answer . I did clean my hybrid fan also at one point last year .I didn't think this would trigger a code .my dash has never showed codes or lights . Hopefully when I return all will be OK. Thanks again for the reply
  3. Thanks everyone for your answers . It's put my mind at ease somewhat. It took me by surprise that it failed the hybrid health check but then again it seems the hybrid system is more complicated than I thought . I was fearing the worst to be honest . Hopefully the retest will pass it as Hybrid Healthy after I put up 500 or so miles 👍
  4. Thanks all for replies Also on this I never received a confirmation text, email or paper work about my car now being covered under Lexus Relax Warranty. Although the service guy said it was covered
  5. Thanks BoB for your reply . Can I ask you , was it one journey of 400 miles or a few journeys to build up 400 miles ?
  6. Hi Moleman On average about 50 -70 miles at the weekend.
  7. Just had my IS300H f sport back from the lexus main dealer after a full service and was met with a failed hybrid health check due to a P3000 diagnostic code . I've been driving the car for 12 months and it's been flawless. No issues with the Hybrid system and no engine lights or codes on dash . The Lexus dealer told me to drive the car for 500km and return it to them for a free Hybrid Health Check and if it passes they will put the 12 month Hybrid warranty on it as per usual . I was told I'm not driving the car enough , as I only drive it on a Sat and Sunday. Is this a major worry or has anyone had this before with their IS ?
  8. They have increased big time in price . Infact I would be in a healthy profit if I sold my 2016 F sport is300h now . But I will keep it as I like it too much :).
  9. To update this thread again , 3 weeks after my last post . The issue never Really resolved itself fully . So yesterday I took all apart again . And fitted new pads , re greased slide pins, very lightly .it seems I had too much silicone grease on the pins and they were almost locked in with suction . Anyways the new pads seem to be contacting the disc alot better now and the car is in fact braking better . Tip of the day ,, don't over grease caliper slide pins :(
  10. Hi all I've recently noted the private market increase in asking price for the IS300H lately . Has anyone else noted this ? Some 2014/2015 plate F sports are just shy of the 20k bracket ..(euros)
  11. 4 wheel alignment done and 2 new rear tyres . Seemingly the side with the badly worn rear tyre was way off track . Should be all OK now . How can a wheel be thrown off track that much I'm wondering. Surely pot holes don't do that much mis alignment of suspension??
  12. Drivers side inner wall was eaten .went with a new back set of tyres . I'm just wondering is this a tracking issue ? Passenger side was fine
  13. Hi all Can anyone point me in the right direction to purchase a techstream cable and software ? Thanks
  14. MOT(nct) was done and passed only a few months ago .thank god. Just to update I took all apart and re done all . I sanded the old pads flat .re greased all clips and brackets and re fitted . And all seems fine .I tested the caliper pistons and both of them extend and retract fine . It's clearing the rust on both discs it's seems bit slowly .I will keep this thread updated👍
  15. Thanks for your in depth reply 👍 much appreciated. Whats strange is that its happening on both new front discs? I'm wondering could it be anything to do with the old pads and the wear shape on them from my original discs ? I did note that the pads were a tight fit .I did take the caliper carrier brackets off and give them a clean with a wire brush .I'm going to investigate later today and I'm praying it's not a seized caliper piston . Hopefully not , as like i said its happening on both sides
  16. Evening all I recently treated my F Sport IS300H to a new set of front discs . I re used my old pads as there is only 1000kms wear on them . I know the way to go Is to always replace new discs with new pads but in this case I kept the old ones. I did a thorough job , cleaning all and re greasing caliper slider pins with the correct grease . I've driven about 150km on the new discs and noted the pads aren't fully contacting/wearing on the new discs . Any ideas ? Note the pic attached is not my car but very similar to what is happening on mine . Only contacting outer edge of disc
  17. Well I managed to access the service history online . I'm a bit under whelmed. It lists the services done at the UK main dealer from 2016 to 2019 but that's about it . No detail, only the hybrid health check .
  18. To be honest I'm a little disappointed with this . My f sport 2016 was imported into Ireland in 2019 .prior to this it spent 3 years in the UK and according to the service booklet ,had regular services at a main dealer ., and yet no record of this online . I appreciate the service booklet is there to verify the service history, but some detail on the services would be nice
  19. Ebay . A cheaper alternative to replacing it with a genuine part . Link to the ebay part here https://www.ebay.ie/itm/314352451546?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11050.m43.l1123&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=6ac8f26beebf4d9185f17d4e6eb4bc35&bu=45599006487&osub=-1~1&crd=20230224024533&segname=11050
