  1. I ordered December 31st. I was told by my dealer I’d find out this Friday whether I would be one of the last orders for the existing model (July/august delivery) or whether it slips into the updated version (September/October delivery) I’d certainly be willing to wait 1-2 months if I get an upgraded multimedia system at no extra cost.
  2. Interesting. If there are no price increases on existing orders then i'd be happy to wait for the updated ES. I wonder if I can make that request and delay the order so I get this? I'm not allocated a build yet.
  3. I have unfortunately been told the opposite. That if my order falls into the MY23 model, I will be subject to the price increases as it is new specification.
  4. Just called and got an update from my dealer. My car is still not allocated a build slot/date. They have advised that on the 27th of this month, they will know if this is going to be a MY22 car, in which case expecting delivery in August, or if this will be a MY23 car with the new updates - in which case this will be a September/October delivery + also a potential price increase - which I'm obviously not happy about. Having placed my order in December 2021 and initially told this would be a May 2022 delivery - this is disappointing. He has promised to call me back on the 28th with an update, so let's see.
  5. You're right, it has been poor. But in the current climate I would assume it is the same for most dealers/manufacturers as *everyone's* orders are delayed. In the past, it was isolated cases.
  6. Hi Do you have a link that highlights these changes? Isit worldwide or UK specific?
  7. This is worrying. I ordered December 2021 and was initially told May 2022. Last update was July 2022 but that was about 3-4 weeks ago. I suspect mine will be August/September now...
  8. They did. After escalations to their accounting department, they confirmed I was right. Unfortunately they couldn’t budge on offering an additional discount or incentives but did offer me a full refund of my deposit (because of the written email confirmation at time of order). Due to shortages and increasing lead times, I have decided to just continue with the order anyway - otherwise I’d be overpaying for whatever little remaining stock there is of a pre owned vehicle.
  9. Apologies, perhaps I was not clear. I am not expecting price changes to my existing order which includes the tech and safety pack. I am considering changing the tech & safety pack option on my existing order, to a takumi pack. This is naturally, a more expensive option.
  10. Hi there Are you suggesting that because it’s old pricing, the dealer wouldn’t wish to upgrade me to a takumi pack, even if the upgraded option alone is based on new pricing?
  11. Hi Everyone I currently have an ES300h F Sport with tech & safety pack on order - placed December 2021. Order is currently still 'processing' but my dealer is still expecting a July delivery date. Let's see... At the time I went for this specification as it came in under the £40,000 list price so I could avoid the luxury car tax. Since the subsequent price increases, I can no longer avoid this. My dealer did say I can cancel my order and have my holding deposit refunded if I wanted to, but I have decided to take the hit and proceed. Anyway, I am now considering the 'Takumi pack' as an option instead of the 'tech and safety pack' seeing as I will be paying the luxury car tax anyway. Before I speak to the dealer, my questions are: A) Isit even possible to make such changes to an existing order at this time. It's still in 'Order in progress' at the moment and hasn't advanced to 'build' stage yet. I am buying via pcp. B) If it is possible, would it impact the existing expected delivery date of the vehicle, or will this delay it / push me to the back of the queue? C) Isit worth the price difference between the 2 packs? (currently the list price difference is £3480). I know the big seller of the Takumi pack is the ML sound system but honestly, i'm not too bothered about the sound. I specifically like the idea of the automatic boot with kick sensor, 360 pano view monitor & rear window electric sunshade (have a baby on the way so this may be useful). The head-up display is also nice, but not as important as the other 3 features mentioned. Appreciate all of your advice and comments.
  12. Thanks - I just spoke to them on the phone. Even their sales team were not aware and had to check this with a service manager before confirming the road tax calculation is based on the registration date as opposed to the sale date. In regards to my situation, they are going to check with their accountants and get back to me. I specifically had it confirmed in an email that my road tax cost in future years (not just the first year VED) would be protected by any future price rises as I was not willing to pay the premium tax. So as you say, either they compensate me the difference (it's a 4 year PCP, so years 2-4 only) via a further discount or free servicing or something, or they have to cancel my order & refund me my holding deposit.
  13. Hi This is interesting because I placed an order in December 2021 for an F sport with tech & safety pack + metallic paint which came in at just under £40,000 list price/p11d. I have it in writing via an email that the road tax cost will be based on this pricing before the new price changes & that I will not pay the additional excess rate as a result. What are my options here if this is in writing?
