Congrats on your new is200 ... sounds nice ... one thing though, the service it is booked for, are you sure they are changing the cam belt .. only they only need changing every 100,000 miles. It is worth having the 60k service as that is one of the bigger ones as it involves them replacing the spark plugs, and if they are anything like my old Toyota Camry v6, they are platinum tipped, replaced every 60k .. and cost £12 each !!

Hi Pabs .. as far as Southampton Lexus...the guy you want to deal with is Steve Phyall ... top bloke!! I am collecting a is200 on Saturday, and my father collected his 2 weeks ago...The guy cannot help you enough, with mine he even went ahead and had ALL the alloys refurbed without my commenting on them. Yesterday they had a '52' plate black sport in which must have just arrived, but dont know how much..maybe a little rich for you ??..As far as Altezzas go..Bonzai cars at Sothampton DOcks gate 4 ... they will bid for you, and obtain one, but it takes about 2 months. They did (last week) have one in the shed which they had robbed some bits from, that they have for sale. It is one of the quicker RS200 variants, big bore exhaust, tiptronic gears etc...but unfortunately i prefer creature comforts such as Half leather etc...or maybe i am ready for my pipe and slippers...lol. Anyway..good luck mate with the search !!!

After joining this site since purchasing my 1st Lexus is200 ..thought i would post to say hello :) Although this is my 1st Lexus, my father owned an LS400 for five years, changed to a Merc CLK...which lasted all of 8 months, and 2 weeks ago, took delivery of a 3 year old is200se Auto in Platinum Ice with Exmor interior..very nice!! So much so, that one week later, i ended up trading in my Peugeot 406 coupe 3.0 for a V plate is200 SE Navigation in yep you guessed it..Platinum with Exmor interior ... lol. This being my 25th car in 24 years, in all makes and models, the one thing that did impress me, was the quality of service given by the dealer...what a pleasure to do business with...and obviously worthy of their placement in the JD Power surveys since 2001 if this is representative of Lexus dealers. One quirky problem with my car, which has stumped the garage, and may require a new sat nav screen under warranty...is that the screen goes very orange, although if the screen is tilted, the full colour returns occasionally?? Has any other owners had this problem at all? my dealer is perfectly happy to replace it under warranty if they are unable to find a wiring loom problem. And at £1100 i have no complaints on someone else stumping up the cash for it...lol. Finally, does anyone know of any other outlets for the Lexus Sat nav cds, other than paying £155 through Lexus?? Anyway..great site, and hope to gain useful tips and exchange info through here..regards to all !!
