  1. So.. I placed my order for 450h+ in August 2022. Delivery expected at the time was March 2023. Since then it has consistently slipped to my utter frustration. Spoke to the dealer today and build is now expected in July and delivery in September. No one can give me an iron promise that these new dates will hold. He said that I am in a 'better' position since many other orders during the same order time have slipped into January 2024. Somehow I was keeping myself hopeful but rational part of me is asking now to explore other options - and soon...
  2. The finger print topic turned out to be a 'feature' of the app😉. Once you enable the finger print on the app, it never logs you out hence doesn't ask for the validation any more. You need to log yourself out to let the app ask for the finger scan again.
  3. Wrote to Lexus customer services yesterday enquiring about the MY24 specifications on the newly built cars and today got a call from dealer - apparently, Lexus forwarded my enquiry to them. Still no clarity on what it is going on, so I am awaiting people to feedback when their newer built cars delivered. My ETA remains June.
  4. Don't know about MY24 - dealer didn't know as well. Have enquired with Lexus UK and waiting for their reply. Also waiting for the cars which are currently in built to be delivered so the MY24 specs are confirmed.
  5. Congratulations, what are your vehicle's specifications?
  6. Thanks Michael Just had a word with my dealer - 450H+ FSport + Takumi Pack, Order placed in Aug 2022, initial ETA March and now stands at June 2023. Dealer confirmed that my order is price locked so pricewise no impact for me. According to him, the above mentioned Lexus statement is valid for the new orders which are being placed now. Although he thinks my Lexus will be per 2023 specification, I am still holding hope for some extra goodies.
  7. Hi Michael - where did you see this? Any links? Thanks
  8. Thanks. Uninstalled the app and installed again, initiated finger print but the app still did not ask for finger print though. Then saw your message, logged out and then tried to login - this time it offered to log in via finger print or the 4 digit code and when I choose the finger print, it prompted the option to scan the finger print. So logging out and then trying to log back in seems to trigger the app to think about the finger print but when just closed without logging out prompts only for the 4 digit pin. Strange but not a big deal.
  9. Thats the 1st place I looked which currently looks like this: So it is telling me that the fingerprint validation is on and pin is off. But now the Lexus app does not need any validation at all. If I switch the pin on then it will ask me for my pin before allowing me in. How strange!
  10. I don't have the car yet but I use Lexus Link app from time to time to track the order status. I have noticed recently that the app no longer asks for fingerprint validation while logging into the android app. It definitely used to in the past. I can still secure the app via a 4 digit pin but somehow can not enable the finger print authorisation in the settings. Did anyone face this issue and how did they managed to resolve this? Again, this is a non issue right now however any insight will be appreciated. Thanks
  11. Hello, welcome to the forum. I track the order status via Lexus Link app. In the app I can see the order number from the dealer and the current status of the order. Mine stands at 'order in progress' which I believe will change to 'build in progress' when the build starts. Subsequent statuses let you track the shipping status of the vehicle apparently. Vin number is not provided until the build is complete. A good dealer will set up the app for you and keep in touch by various means through out the order cycle. Mine does. January 2022 is long time so definitely check with your dealer regarding your status - many people have gotten the delivery already even after placing the order much later in 2022. My order placed in August 22 and current expected time of delivery is June 23. 450h+ FSport Takumi.
  12. got a reply from the dealer - they aren't sure but think that the new goodies are for the new orders placed, whenever they open. The ones already in the pipeline will stick to what was originally spec'ed.
  13. My delivery is expected in June, I have asked my dealer if I will be any of these are coming to the UK market and will I be benefited. Will let know the feedback.
  14. Just a quick update on my saga - ordered 450h+ in F-Sport & Takumi on 1st of Aug'22 and was initially advised March'23 delivery. The timeline for my options did match with the general wait time discussed on this forum at that time, hence I was quite confident. But since then delivery slipped to April, to May and now stands at June. My current car has to go by July so it will be interesting to see how many steps I clock in between any further delays and ultimate delivery of the car. My dealer - Lexus Reading - have been fantastic - been providing me with updates every 2 weeks. No complaints there so far. In my opinion, there is still nothing comparable in the market as far as the PHEV in this segment is concerned which caters to my needs perfectly - so I wait. Congrats to those who managed to hang on during these long wait times and finally managed to get their vehicles.
