Hi Anthony i will have another play tomorrow ( you may have already guessed Tech. Doesn’t come naturally ) I have been opening the settings page on my phone then on to Bluetooth. Then menu on the car and the info button, it opened a menu, but on my phone it doesn’t list my car as available for pairing. I will have another play !

Definitely got the buttons one with a phone symbol on, but I still don’t know how to pair it, on my phone it was asking for a password and suggested trying 1234 or oooo but neither worked !

Hi, could anyone tell me the procedure for pairing a phone with my S.C 430 2004 reg ? I believe it to have Bluetooth capability as it has buttons under the steering wheel ( l/h s ). And it shows a message Bluetooth not connected. I have looked in the manuals but can find no information on how to pair. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi have been loving the car and getting used to everything, just had my first problem, the orange engine symbol on the dash has stayed on when starting the car and then stays on. The car still seems to do everything ok ?? Am I right in thinking this may be a sensor gone down ? If so is it still ok to use and how exspensive to change ? thanks in advance for your help Paul.

What are owners opinions that it’s more economical on the sport setting ? sounds like wish full thinking to me, but that is what one owner has found, I just wondered what others find.

My car now back on original wheels with Michelin pilot sport 5 tyres. The ride is good, a lot smoother and it feels good on the road.

Thank you for the advice Anthony, I will sell the wheels complete with the nuts, I would be happy with £450 for the set, as you say I will put them on the page for wheels and tyres.

Hi Anthony have had the wheels refurbished and new Michelin Pilot sport 5 tyres put on. Have done a couple of short runs and the tyres feel good on the road, feels a smother ride. Got a good price on the internet 4 tryres for £512 including post, then Michelin give £60 cash back.

Yes I do like them, and think they suited the car, but I wanted to have standard Lexus wheels on it and fancied putting Michelin Pilot 5 tyres on it, so had the wheels powder coated and new tyres. I will put a pic on soon.

Hi Anthony I think the Lexus will be tucked up in the garage if it snows ! I have a Volvo xc 60 that will be my snow mobile.

Could anyone advice what I should ask for a set of aftermarket wheels with nearly new 245/40/18 tyres fitted ? I have just put standard wheels back on my car with a set of Michelin pilots, so will be putting these up for sale.

Can someone tell me the difference between the pre face lift alloys and the facelift ones ? I have a 2004 car that came with after market wheels on it, but I also have the set of Lexus rims that I am going to put back on it, but don’t know if they are the correct ones for the year. They nave the round disc in the centre if that helps. The pic shows the after market wheels.

Hi Anthony, the wheels I have are the ones with round disc in the centre, I am hoping that they are the correct ones for the year ? I am assuming the ones on my car at present are after market wheels.

Thanks for your advice Anthony, I have the original wheels which I am going to have restored, the tyres and wheels that are on the car at present, although new, look to be budget ones. So my thoughts are maybe getting the restored wheels fitted with new Michelins, then maybe I can sell the wheels and tyres that are on it and get some of the cost back. took the car for a longer drive today and have to say I love it ! I can’t fault anything, no rattles or unwanted noises, super smooth and didn’t miss a beat ! The fuel computer had been reading 15.1 and I was thinking ouch, but I reset it and After 70 miles on mixed roads it reads 31.6 so I’m well pleased.

Got the wheels, I did not want the cover ( I think they sometimes do more harm than good ) I am going to get the original wheels restored and put some new tyres on them, any suggestions for the best tyres ??? I then hope to sell the wheels and tyres that are on it, all tyres are quite new, with little mileage, to pay towards renovating the original wheels.

Hello Anthony, glad you like the leather ! I love it but can imagine it is a bit like marmite ! I have been into classic cars and motorcycles for many years, and in retirement I was going to buy a classic car, had been looking at mk 2 jags, but the ones I looked at involved spending over £20,000 and I just knew it would have been a money pit ! So I had a re think and decided a modern classic may be a better bet ! I owned a GS 300 Lexus a few years ago, so was aware of the build quality, so far I am loving the S.C !

I was looking to try to find one within 60 miles of home give or take, The colour I have bought, is the one I liked (and saw at the county show ) but thought I stood no chance of getting it as it was a rare colour. Then up popped a new advert and the car was 7 miles from my front door on the isle of Sheppey, who needs a lottery win ! I had not seen the car before, it was owned by a nice gentleman who had searched for 2 years to find what he wanted, then bought it from Southend. He had only had it a short time before having health issues, so it has had little use for last 2 years.
