  1. When i first got my 2007 RX400h SE-L, i managed to get the dvd playing in the front dvd-changer to play on the rear screens with the sound coming out of the speakers. since then, i've never been able to do it. i set the rear screens to av2 and av1 and no joy-the picture shows on the front satnav screen only. can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
  2. I think what you're looking for is HERE Thanks for the pointer. I emailed those guys about 3 months agp and got no reply, so I assumed it was a dodgy site. I wanted to know which version to order and how to fit it on my 07 SE-L - do you happen to know>?
  3. http://www.vaistech.com/sl2vi.php Does anybody know if the video version will allow you to watch videos while the car is in motion? The in-built DVD player does not allow it unless the parking brake is on!
  4. I too am interested. I emailed the website and got no response. Has anybody tried them?
  5. Hey, maybe someone with the new DVD could post it out to a few of us who can't afford the new DVD (at a small fee) so that we can upgrade our firmware and send it back! That would contribute to the original purchaser's outlay (maybe even a profit)! If anyone is interested in doing this, PM me! ;-)
  6. For those that are interested, I have finally sorted this: Pair in the normal way. For outgoing calls, you can use the handset to dial, and the call goes through to handsfree. For incoming calls, if the handset is used to answer, then the call comes through the handset. If the screen or steering wheel is used, then the call comes through the handsfree. For caller ID to work - ie come through to the screen in the car, then ensure that BTSAP (Bluetooth SIM Access Profile) is allowed on the handset. The phone number of the incoming call is then displayed on the car screen. If the numebr is in the car phonebook, then the name is displayed. Perfect!!!
  7. Hi All, I have had the 2007 RX400h for a week and love it. Still getting used to driving economically (see my other thred), BUT i have a problemwith the bluetooth. I use a HTC Touch Pro which paired flawlessly. I can dial using the handset and the call comes through the hands-free-it works great. However, when I get an incoming call, the stereo mutes and says "Tel" and it rings. when I answer, the stereo goes back on and the call is connected through the phone, so I have to put the phone to my ear and manually turn off the stereo! Any ideas? is it becaus I answer using the handset?
  8. Thanks for your comments guys. I've been playing around with acceleration and am getting more battery use now. Managed to get the mpg to 27.9, but it's gone down again since I came to work this morning on the motorway! I'd have thought that motorway driving would have increased the mpg, as the manufacturer's quoted figures are higher for motorway than urban cycle. Love the forums, by the way!
  9. I have just bought an RX400h with 30k miles on the clock. I have done about 300 miles in it myself now and never seem to get over 27mpg average, including a lot of motorway driving. The petrol engine kicks in immediately from standstill, even when accelerating very gently. I was under the impression it would only kick in at 25-30mph. Is there a problemwith my RX? What are othersexperiences of this?
