    Thanks to all for replies. The VIN does not tell me what accessories/extras are fitted to the car' For example -I find only 1 CD fits into the sound system..so i have to keep others in the car For example - the 'bumper buzzers' don't seem to work -are they fitted or not? I have the driver's manual but that won't help. What to do?
