VIN number-What does it tell you?

I bought this 2015 cx300h and want to find out what 'extras' it has.

It is so confusing -there is no guide book to help me

Will the VIN number tell me exactly what level of 'extras' it has?

There are various sites which claim to offer a build sheet, or specification, from a VIN. Here's a link to one - google for others.

go to the Repair tab

https://www.lexus-tech.eu/Menu/Repair

and then you can input the VIN to give you the complete build sheet for your car. It will not tell you what is 'extra' as that would require a baseline but it is genuine Lexus information...

Thanks to all for replies.

 

The VIN does not tell me what accessories/extras are fitted to the car'  

For example -I find only 1 CD fits into the sound system..so i have to keep others in the car

For example - the 'bumper buzzers' don't seem to work -are they fitted or not?   I have the driver's manual but that won't help.

Can you see small round button-like inserts in the front valance area? If yes, are the parking sensors switched on? The button will be identified in the handbook
