Hi to all. All 3 codes related to the left side of the car where it had the accident damage. Main code is C1310 Active brake booster solenoid which probably cause the HV system malfunction message on dash. Do you have any clue what it may be? The car is not drivable on the road and I can not pay each time for recovery truck to move it from garage to the next garage.. Thanks

When bought the car from the auction I did not count that expensive repainting job and don't expect the painter would damage paintwork even more. While do this post I spoke with those guys from PaintChip and they said that to paint this colour with blending is very very risky and for the quote they gave me earlier they decided to paint whole bottom except the roof. I believe the painters on the side was scaring to spoil something again I heard their conversation when brought the car. Will update

Hi, got story and question! My cards in red and spoiled completely by the painter. The car needed to be spray only on the front wing and passanger door but it has to be respray almost whole by now. First time painter spray it with a big blends without prior try cos he mix the paint by the code and did not expect anything bad painted the car, paint was wrong tone. Garage went to the car paint specialist with proper equipment to mix again, painter painted second time with even more blend, paint better but still wrong tone so the car exterior is ruined, I'm in big shock. I brought the car to the company called PaintChip in Brent Cross, Wembley today where the painter worked for 10 years. They quote me £2300 to correct their ex employee job, gave me 400 quid discount because of him. So the car will be resprayed with blend to the places where original paint left. I just search online about this Lexus new paint and found that paint is 4 stage coats so I scare they won't be able to match it again. Should I stop them and pull it to Lexus? The luminous red paint is achieved through a meticulous paint process using four base coats of paint which are then baked twice. Layers of colored and clear coating are used to control some of the color’s reflections and establish a balance between the brightness and depth – two elements that traditionally work against each other. For the red exterior, the factory starts with a base coat of silver and then applies a clear coat. Then, the clear coat is covered by a translucent red coat, which is then topped with another clear coat. The four coats of paint are baked twice to set the color. As a result, light hitting the paint reflects off the red layer and also off the silver layer below, which adds depth and a metallic highlight to the red coloration. Prior to this new, two-color base process, the factory used base coats with the same color tone (red and red).

Thanks Linas but that man very rude so let him stay with his seats. I sent my original seat to Ukraine where the people glad to help but it take couple of weeks. Let see how it gone be because it is not just simple job to repair it properly. will update

No, spec of the battery near the same but I read some posts online that Lexus RC Hybrid can drop many different culprits if its see the battery is not that factory put in. The position of terminals, dimension etc are 100% identical.

Hi, sorry if I keep this forum busy! Possibly I need a new 12V battery to my car, I have original Panasonic now but Toyota dealer want to sell me Toyota battery which slightly different in the specs. I see Panasonic for sale brand new on eBay for 220 quid and genuine Toyota one for only 139 pounds or 179 on dealer. Both sellers insist that those two batteries are identical , the difference is Toyota made in Europe for Toyota, Panasonic made in Japan for Toyota . What best way? Just trying to go best way not to overpaid cos my repair project still long to finish Thanks

SOLVED! The car has had started now by reseting hybrid system. Possible I need to re-set SRS unit to shut off the light on dashboard but its only happen when the car would fit together.

Finally I got pictures of the red/rose interior, its looks like the same as my F-Sport black leather seat but the seats are just ruined and I have a little choice to send to Ukraine my original one for repair, work is not agreed yet cos they need pictures which I can get only on Monday, or buy back part of the seat from the dealer for £1700+VAT.

Hi all Got the call from upholstery people today and they refused to repair the passanger seat with deployed airbag I left them few days ago. At the moment no black seat anywhere for sale! I found one guy on eBay who breaking facelift RC 2020 (silver) and he said that he got red full interior from that car for 500 quid, it is cheap option for me despite I don't like Red colour. Must admit that I waiting for the pictures of the seats for a few days already, promised tomorrow morning. ) Do you think the all fittings and under seat plugs are the same and will fit pre-facelift car 2018? Hi I looking to buy RC passanger seat. Airbag deployed and no-one can repair the seat because leather glued to the foam. The upholstery people said if they start to split those two things to make a stitches the seat would be destroyed completely but the other guys from Ukraine, my native country, said that possible to fix using the heat gun and special fluid which soft the glue but again its hassle and time. thanks

Hi All, I need to buy one front wing for my car, found one on Ebay for cleaver price but description parts checker shows that wing from 2017 model is not fit my 2018. I learn a lot from the different online pictures the headlight configuration is the same where it goes into the wing despite deflectors can be different. I talk about pre-face lift models. are the wings the same? Thanks
