Hi all when I had the IS the beep when approaching a speed camera was quite loud but on my UX I can’t hear it although the wife can, how can I turn it up and voice navigation for that matter. Dell

I normally only buy off market place if it’s local and I can collect and pay but I see a steel hole punch set on there for £6 normally £70 ish and I must admit I thought it was a scam but as I was after one because I needed it to cut a hole in a clock mainspring ( I restore antique clocks ) I thought it was probably a scam but thought worth risking £6 , well to my amazement it turned up looked new so although most to cheap to be true things are scams it just goes to show not all but the problem comes trying to to sort the wheat from the chaff. I wasn’t sure where to post this because it’s not really Lexus related but in a Lexus, is there anyone on here that use hearing aids, I am a deaf old sod and my hearing aids are connected to my iPhone via BT so I get phone calls and navigation directions in my aids but my new car 21 plate has carplay and it’s nice to see the map on the nav screen but the directions come through car speakers not my aids whatever I try, I would prefer the directions through my aids. so if anyone has any advice that would be great. I think all insurance companies just think of a number then double it , when you see that someone in Birmingham ( a friend ) same age as me with a 2L ford year newer is paying £150 less than me in the Cotswolds, go figure. Dell

Well finally picked up my nice Pearlescent white UX today, they gave me a tank of fuel and I spoke to the sales manager and told him I wasn’t very happy regarding the cockup, he looked about 12 years old ( is that my age ) anyway he blamed it on Listers, just have to learn all the bits and bobs , IE BSM, LTS and lots of others, connected CarPlay would have been nice to have wireless but ha-ho , had £400 unused from service plan so only £17 a month for next 2 services and MOT’s so that’s 3 years covered as just serviced and had it’s first MOT ( bonus ), much easier to get in and out of. Yes there are other dealers but 40 miles away Cheltenham 28 miles away, I am not unhappy with the sales person because she said it was her manager that said I had to remove private plate, he should know what he is talking about but obviously not. Dell

When I decided to replace my IS with a UX the Lexus dealer said they couldn’t take my car in P/x with the private plate on it as it was against the law ( what a load of crap ) anyway I said not a problem I will put it on retention so had to wait 5 days until the logbook turned up, it turned up Saturday so I arranged to collect the UX today, got to dealership then they told me they couldn’t take my car in P/x today because upon hpi check it was showing the wrong registration number, I said I wasn’t going to go home in my old car because the insurance changed to the new car from 1200 today so ended up coming away with an NX on there insurance until the hpi check had sorted itself out. This doesn’t give me much confidence in the company.

I don’t really have a problem with the mirrors not folding apart from forgetting to fold in when in supermarket car park because it seems a lot of car owners don’t give a jot about there’s or other peoples car and the cost of replacing one is ridiculous, I always park well away from other cars but my car seems to be a magnet because 9 times out of 10 my car is surrounded when I come out.
