  1. Hi Normski, Appreciate this! I did check all of the displays for any error messages etc but nothing was showing. I did some more research and I thought it may be the car battery so am having it changed today but then I read more and think this is just the key fob battery so will replace that too and hopefully should sort it! Thanks again for the support! Much appreciated!
  2. Hi! Can anyone help! There has recently started a beeping noise that lasts for about 5 seconds when I turn on the ignition in my 2005 Lexus IS250 that has only just started. I cannot work out what is causing this - I heard that this could be due to the battery needing replacing? Does this sound right or could there be something else at play? Any help is appreciated! 🙂 James
  3. HI Len, Thanks for the reply! There is definitely no 'P' switch - this is an older car without the radar sensor screen. I have spoken to an auto electrician but struggling to get one to come and fix the issue. I have ordered a replacement sensor to see if that can solve the issue - Do you happen to have a link to a thread that assists in changing these sensors or is it something better left to a garage to attempt?
  4. Hi All! I recently purchased a 2005 IS250 that has parking sensors. They seem to be extremely sensitive and there is no button that I can see to mute this or adjust. I cant see any issues with the bodywork that can cause this issue - there is a tiny chip on one of the sensors but I am not sure if this could be the cause or not? ( I can add pics shortly) I know some models have the 'radar' display to show but my model doesn't. It seems to happen/beep when both stationary and moving. I guess my query is - is there a button/switch to mute this that I am missing? Or if not, how simple/expensive is it to replace the chipped senor or add in a button to be able to mute etc? Appreciate any and all advice!
  5. Hi Linas, Thank you for this. I assumed this may be the case and contacted a couple of companies but the only one to reply this far suggested speaking to Lexus 🙄. I am hoping for more success from the other AV companies I contacted. Appreciate the response though. 🙂
  6. Hi All! First time on a forum but looking for advice - I did have a search through similar topics but could not find a solution. I have just purchased a 2005 Lexus IS250 that has Lexus branded DVD screens in the rear headrests and the control unit in the glovebox. The screen both work and turn on and I can adjust the settings but even with a DVD player in the control unit, there is a message on the screen that read' No signal input'. Is this an issue with a loose connection or a software update? I contacted Lexus to advise but they wanted £150 just to run the diagnostics test! Can anyone advise if this is a common issue/easy fix? The car has FSH and manuals etc but for some reason no information on the DVD players. I appreciate any advice that can be provided as I made the mistake of telling my 2 year old daughter she could watch Tom and Jerry in the car and now I don't want to break that promise (or pay £200 to keep it! lol) Cheers
