  1. Mate, my kitchen floor was flooded from the dam thing, im still seething with rage from it. Its a Haier which is a sister company of one of the bigger brands, think its Hotpoint.

Spare me the jibes tomoz to Aido, it may still be a sore subject!!! :P

  2. My frggin washing machine decided it wasn't going to work today, randomly without warning it just displayed an error code on display which according to the manual means this;

    Err8: Water exceeds protective level

Correction: Check the circuit and contact the maintenance personnel.

Anybody got any experience in this field and can maybe shed some light on the matter?

I've cleaned the drainage pipes, removed a 2- coin from the filter and drained the machine but it still keeps displaying this err code.

Am I better off dumping this machine which is only just over a year old, or better to get it repaired?

    Cheers folks,

    Kaz.

  3. Was thinking my Kazama back box is looking a bit ropey, think im gonna give it a clean, any suggestions on whats the best way to tackle this? Do you use a fine sand paper? Brillo pad and wire wool, use the Dremmel or what? Also, is their anything I can do to keep the shine lasting longer? Like a high temp lacquer or something?

    Cheers,

    Kaz.

will still be there but may get there a little early and dash off about 2/2.30 to be back in time. lol.

be cool if someone could show me how's best to check the tension of the s/c belt as its something i'm unsure of and wanna know how to do for when it comes to changing it etc etc.

    cheers

    rob

If its slack mate, you'll know about it. It would make a hideous sound! Easy to show how to tension the thing though!

  7. its the latter mate - actually its a bug with the SE P190i as its happened before - holdibng out for the N97 so will live with it, lol!! it actually retrieves the texts, but i ghave to switch the phone off and on again to get them!!

Perfectly normal for most phones. You'd be amazed how many problems I had from customers who never turn their handset off. Once every 3-4 days for 30 seconds can do all the good!

  8. I've used a really good Turtle Wax Colour restore before with pretty good results. Its in their Platinum range so its not the cheap stuff you can buy, give that a try with an orbital polisher. Job lot will cost about £30 mate.

Give the car a good clean. Dry the car off thoroughly. Apply the restorer, wait for 5-10 mins to haze, buff off with a the machine polisher. This will instantly reduce the appearance of blemishes, swirls and small scratches. Then I've found using a colour based polish gives it a deep colour shine. Gently apply the polish and leave 2-3 mins to haze. Buff off with a lint free cloth. Then if you want the full monty job, wax the car like you've polished it, then you can give the car a top wax gloss. This is really liquidiy and so easy to apply. Go over the car quickly and by the time you reach the point you started you can again buff off with the machine polisher/buffer leaving your car with paint that looks deep enough to paddel in!

  9. Should be 75441‑53010 which is the big Altezza badge :)

I'd ask the dealer to order both as you're not sure - no idea myself what limited means as the EPC doesn't really say anything other than that!

Cheers dude, will call them tomoz, just gonna see which ones the closest dealer to me....

Loughborough! Excellent, I can get my works delivery driver to call in!

  10. Mate, just saw you want an Altezza badge for the rear of the car - just buy a new one mate, cheap as chips from Toyota:

    The rear badges:

75441D PLATE, LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME, NO.1

    75441‑53010 GXE10, SXE10..SED; ALTEZZA 1 $23.02

    75441‑53050 SXE10; ALTEZZA, LIMITED 2 *® 1

Assume the limited one is black or red maybe? The standard one should be under 20 quid or roundabouts there and will save you messing with the glue from an old one :D

Cheers dude! :D Thought id fool around and slap that above the TTE Compressor sticker! Although which one is the standard one? The Top one?
