The VLANDS and HC motions do have the servos in them to adjust the beam height using the manual switch adjuster. This can easily be adapted to work with the automatic level sensor. The level sensor system works on the basis that the height sensor on each front wheel is essentially a variable resistor that measures from 0 to 45 degrees of movement in car height. And depending on what angle the height sensor is at, it creates a voltage between 0 and 4.5V. This voltage is then translated into the value that the servo needs to adjust the height for the motor. The ones I got do not appear to have any servos in them, but if it annoys me I can easily fit an external motor connector to the adjustment cog to do the same thing. But as it stands my beams are aim correctly and they do not dazzle anyone. I tested it with full load and no load, the beams are actually somewhat dipped lower but the throw is still very good and the brightness of the pure white LED's is amazing.

    Great build so far btw,

just curious if I was to get VLAND's how would I go about getting the auto levelling to work. I saw that video of that convertible but it looked like they replaced the motor??

Also ive got the radar cruise on my car which I don't want to lose so I can't pull the AFS Fuse??

I believe the SE-L auto dimming mirrors have wiring with two connector plugs where others have one.

I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong - if you take your door card off you could check.

    Neil.

You might be right. When i had a look I think I saw 2 connections but i assumed it was just positive and negative for the heating element - didn't really pay much attention to it at the time. I'll have another closer look tomorrow.

Hi everyone. I recently cracked my exterior mirror and need to replace it. My car was fitted with auto dimming mirrors and I understand that not all cars got that feature. I have ordered the mirror from a scrapped car and am now wondering if my car requires a certain mirror - are there two different mirror types for this model (one with dimming and one without)? lexuspartsdirect.co.uk suggests that there is one universal mirror for all.

Just had the same problem, disconnected the battery... at first it stayed on then disappeared. From what I've seen on other forums is that it tends to be a loose harness connector somewhere. If it comes back I'll get the code scanned and have a look.

Light came back. Code scanned it was the drivers knee airbag (which seems to be the case with most people). Took off the cover and gave it a firm press down and light has gone off.
