  1. Thanks. I did find the same info and that's what prompted my original question. It's quite a significant percentage - I read 17% extra resistance which can result in 5% fuel economy hit, which equates to about 2.5mpg for the UX. Admittedly it doesn't sound like a lot but in the long term it is.
  2. Yeah I did see a difference but I hadn't realised it would impact it that much. I do think it's mainly the rolling resistance and weight of the run flat tyres over the increased size. Everything I've researched says that the size and tiny increase in width shouldn't really impact it that much, it's more likely to be the rolling resistance which is category D for the run flats versus A for a regular tyre. I think when it comes to getting new tyres I'll stick regular ones onto it.
  3. Thanks for the response. I've measured over my commute which is basically identical every day. The second UX gets noticably a few MPG less and that's all I can put it down to.
  4. Hi all, Has anyone changed away from run flat tyres to regular tyres and seen a change in fuel economy? I was driving a UX with 17" wheels for months but now have a UX with 18" runflats and there seems to be about a 3-5mpg difference in fuel economy, so I just want to see if anyone else has noticed this if they've swapped? Thanks
  5. Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone has tried fitting a full size 18" wheel in the spare wheel space? Does it fit or does it only accommodate a space saver? I'm struggling to get hold of a space saver anywhere in the UK so my next bet was a full size. Thanks
  6. So the dealer fixed this problem today. It turns out there is a "double locking ECU" which had been disconnected when they had the dashboard apart and they had forgotten to plug back in. All resolved now and it's unlocking instantly again. It took a week for them to find this after backwards and forwards with head Lexus technicians! Sadly, the rattle they're trying to find is still present. In any case, thank you for everyone's responses.
  7. Hi all, I have an issue with my 2020 UX250h where the car will not unlock immediately after pressing the button on the fob, it has a delay of 2-3 seconds and it is consistent. This started after going into the dealer to fix a rattle in which they had the dashboard out. They're aware of it and attempting to fix it, but they're coming up short on what's causing it. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of or suffered from this issue and what the fix was? I have tried new fob batteries in both fobs, disconnecting and reconnecting the 12v battery, Lexus tried recoding the keys, and nothing has worked so far. They're now sending diagnostics back to the top Lexus techs to troubleshoot. Any help welcome. Thanks Andy
