Thanks @Mr Vlad. Yeah it's the same conclusion I'm coming to in regard to the money. I've been utterly disappointed and astounded by the low quality and high cost of most modern cars. Hence looking down the JDM route.

Ah good stuff, thanks for the info. I've been eyeing one up, but I'm lacking mechanical knowledge. Just trying to get a feel of what it would be like to run as a pedestrian. Lexus/Toyota is obviously great for reliability, but then again the 2is models on the market are only getting older.

Looks great @MattDH. What's the situation with getting it serviced? Anything to be aware of as it's a JDM model, or do you just take it to a regular garage?
