Hi, I've just got a 2018 navigation DVD from ebay which was a straightforward swap on my 2009 IS250. I noticed there's someone selling an unofficial 2021 disc. I'm nervous of buying one because the seller is talking about disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes before installation. Has anyone used one of these discs. Did you have success with it or did you brick your system? Any thoughts would be appreciated. TIA

Hi I installed my dash cam a couple of days ago. I descovered yesterday that the boot will no longer open using the button in the car, the button on the boot or the remote. I've obviously disturbed something but I'm not sure what. I've checked the fuses that I removed in the course of installing the camera and they all look fine. The petrol filler still opens using the button inside the car. I can't see the boot listed on any of the fuses in the owners manual. Could someone please suggest where to look. Many Thanks

Thanks for that. I did look through the forums but couldn't find anything. As I only had the camera yesterday I've just connected it via the lighter. I'll have to get my head in the right space to hard wire it. I plan on changing the cigarette lighter and auxiliary socket to USB Q3 chargers at the same time. Get all the wiring done in one go.

Thanks for all your replies. The cams I've had previously have all had motion detection which has worked off the inbuilt rechargeable battery. Having said that I can't remember if the new camera has that feature. Thanks for all your replies.

Hi, new car = new dash cam. I always hardwire my cams so that they switch on with the ignition. Could someone tell me a suitible fuse location please that I can piggyback off or a spare that are only powered when the ignition is on. The car is a 2009 IS250 SE-I with navigation. There was a Toyota Crown Athlete on Auto Trader whilst I was looking for the Lexus. I decided against it as being JDM you can never be sure of the history or the costs of running.

Hi and thanks for the welcome. Just checked the service manual and it is Windsor Blue. Looking forward to taking part in the forums where I can. I've come to Lexus after over 10 years of Rover 75 & 45 ownership including their V6. Unfortunately they were limited to 180bhp on the V6 due to issues with the gear change on the Jatco box. I think lack of funds stopped them developing this further.

Hi, I bought my first Lexus on Thursday a dark blue (Windsor blue?), 2009 IS 250 SE-I with 35000 miles on it! I've been waiting for some compensation to come through which finally arrived a couple of weeks ago. There's been a few I've been watching on Auto Trader but one after another they sold whilst I was waiting for the money. Once it came through I took my time, not rushing into anything then this one turned up. I've got to say I couldn't be happier. I'll do a better photo once the weather is better.
