  1. I took out the center heating control unit and stereo to fit the Aux-In unit and everything was working perfectly until night-fall when I noticed that the three center bulbs were not working in the heating control knobs (just the center bulbs for the Heating Screen, Air Flow, and A/C, everything lit on the rest of the panel and all the controls worked including the three centre buttons. Also the Snow and Trc Ctrl bulbs were not lit.

After driving for a while the Snow and Trc Ctrl bulbs re-lit but after pushing the buttons they went out again, loose connection I thought, but I've pushed everything home and tried to check for loose wiring.

Anyone give me a couple of clues?

    * Can you take the Snow Trc/Ctrl unit apart to check if the bulbs are sitting firmly, if so how?

    * Is there a common colour of wire for the light feed?

    * Is there a fuse that might cause the strange three bulb only issue on the heater control?

  2. > Directional POI e.g. speed camera

Oh can you upload your own POIs?

Nope, but you can mark any point on the map, assign it an icon and an optional sound that plays when you approach. So as I go pass a speed camera I press the "mark" button and set it as a speed camera.

Thanks for the clarification, I thought for a minute I would be able to ditch the TomTom, oh well! :winky:

  3. Seems like 35 - 38 psi is the right tyre pressure for IS200. But is that the tyre pressure when the tyre is cool or did you guys measure it at the petrol station after driving for some miles ?

After a years study and geometry set-ups a conclusive pressure for the IS200/300/SPORT is 35PSI front and rear, assuming the car is 'stock' any modifications add a personal pressure this is not available for display.

Hi Tony, would that also be the case for a stock IS 200 Sport (Styling Kit) with the standard 18" Aero alloys? I'm currently running 33PSI.

  4. Good to see people again - and good to see the usual turkey stuffing suspects  :winky:

How does a Bernard Matthews ready baste tickle your fancy Aido? (Remember to leave the giblets in though  :P )

Some muppet tried to pull into me on a roundabout on the A52 - did you see him Matt? - the foreign wolly in the people carrier  :tsktsk: Was as you pulled into the shell garage.

Aye, I pulled into the Shell Garage to fill up, I must have been driving like a gent for the last week as I did 393 miles to a full tank with about 20miles on the yellow light.

As for the idiot in the people carrier, naar. I just keep getting people doing that to me on J25 of the M1 now they have changed the layout.

It was nice to see everyone again, thanks for Mike's hospitality and for those that found images to ruin everyones Christmas lunch! :yack:

  5. Used Lexus IS prices have taken a big drop recently,I have had my IS300 NAV on Ebay and advertised locally for the past week or so but not much interest at all, even at a price much lower than I paid for it in June this year, seems I am going to have to reuce it further and take a big loss.

People know there is a new model due out and are using this as a bargaining tool to try and get the original IS at a much lower price.

Was yours the blue one with Styling Kit on a few weeks back?

No mine is Platinum Ice and is re-advertised on eBay at the moment, had lots of emails making silly offers but I am not desperate to sell at a silly price.

Okay, cool, good luck with the sale, if it was the blue one, then I might have had a few words with you. :winky:
