mine does click, but its exceptional quiet
Same here- whenever I drive my dad's Audi the indicator click in that car is a lot louder.
-
Bet its water in the exhaust system burning off (steam).
Mine does this when the car is cold.
-
That Altezza that Mr Singh had was nice...
-
For me, the ultimate IS would be all the new technology, engine and interior planted into the mk1 IS body- that would be one nice car...
-
Read this: IS200 knowledgebase- this should answer all your q's.
-
Maybe disconnecting the Battery will reboot it? I don't know, mine doesn't have sat nav.
-
Nice one- get some pictures up of the new car at some point.
-
Manual gearbox is pretty poor tbh and the whine is normal in 1st and 2nd. Try changing the gearbox oil- this might make a difference.
-
£30 seems a fair price, but if you can find someone who has 3 coilpacks then they might be able to do a better, say £25 a coilpack?
-
Try eBay or local scrap yard mate.
-
Should be ok- I guess you would want to know if any other mods were done? You don't want to end up with a thrashed IS200.
-
I use a oil filter removal band to remove my oil filter off my IS200.
I got this one from Halfords: Oil filter removal band/tool
Worth every penny as I use it on our other cars in the family.

What's the condition of the air filter?

HI thanks for the kind comments, are the sports grills that are for sale on Ebay genuine? is there somewere else to buy them other than a dealership.
If you buy from Lexus Birmingham's eBay shop you will get a genuine sport grille. Not sure if they do your colour, so you may have to get a pre-painted one and get it sprayed to match the colour of your car?
-
Yes, I for one wouldn't buy a car without a key- how would you know if the engine/gearbox are any good? Something doesn't add up here?
-
Welcome mate- get some pictures up of your Lexus.
-
See if you can get a 2nd hand lockset, keys and ECU off a crashed IS200. If not, then Lexus will happily extract £2000 from you for new locks, keys, ECU etc.
-
Got a grom adapator installed in my IS200 (use it with my ipod nano). Sound quality is very good.
-
Shortshifter- it shortens the gear change.
Best ones are the B&M ones or if you have the £££ TRD do them as well (think you need to import the TRD one direct from Japan?).
-
Nice- a few suggestions:
Get a sport grill, lower it and get some HID's (if it already doesn't have any). Overrall, nice motor mate.
-
Elland- what's the model number on yours? Should be a model number (in gold text) on the front, eg: 13903.
You need to make sure the replacement headunit has the same model number (it won't fit otherwise), if it doesn't, then prepare to cut/splice the loom in your car.

Nice one- welcome to LOC and the Lexus brand.

Sorry, I don't think stuff like Slick50 works- best to service your car regularly using quality parts. Doing this will achieve better mpg.
I can manage 450 miles out of a full tank on a motorway run @70 mph. I regularly drive from Leeds to Glasgow and I get 450 miles out of a tank.
Edit: I've also got a K&N filter- not saying this improves mpg, I only fitted it as you can wash it and reuse it for 100k/10 years (longlife filter).

for a tenner, I am happy. the OEM accessories is discontinued ages ago, and they were 50+VAT if I remember.
Fair play- I'm not knocking you at all. Not sure the OEM ones being £50 + VAT, as I bought one from Lexus Leeds for £30 inc VAT a few years ago.
