  1. Well right at the end when everyone ran onto the track, I had a little mosey over to the pitlane, and they pretty much gave you open access to all the garages! I think you were supposed to have some kind of special pass, but that didn't stop me. ;) It was brilliant being able to see the cars up close. I've got some cracking pictures from back there, so i'll put them up tomorrow. I will leave you with this beaut of a picture. By the conditions of the sky you can see that I waited pretty late!

  2. DVD probably won't be for a while, could be a tricky one to get hold of since its an Option jobbie.

What a bloody great event, by far the best motorsport day of any kind I have ever been to. It was great to meet up with you guys too, nice to meet some new people. :D

Oh, and the guy in the Top Secret S15 won it Aido, not the guy in the Scooby. :P

    My highlights:

Tsuchiya-san has been my hero for the last 4 years or so, It was worth the stand in the cold and £25 alone just for me to get this picture. As you can tell by my smile, I was pretty happy!

Another fantastic highlight for me, one of the few people to get to sit in Kazama's S15! :D

I'll stick up a shedload more pics tomorrow sometime when I've caught up on my sleep. :)

  3. The services you are on about Mat are 15a of the M1. Swan valley (used to be Rothersthorpe). There is an industrial estate there - Swan Valley. Silverstone is only down the road from there on the new bypass. About 10 - 20 mins drive depending on traffic.

Is this where we are meeting then? Im so confused now! :duh:

  4. Right. Since there doesn't seem to be much interest in meeting up i'll just go my own way and see if I can find anyone when I get there. :D

It makes a fairly big difference to my journey time if I go to the M1 junction, as i'll actually have to go past Silverstone about 15 miles to do it... which I would be willing to do if there were other people, but it just doesn't seem worth it if theres only 2 people. :( Sorry Mac.

  5. The purpose of a strut brace is to brace the tops of the shock towers together, reducing any movement they may have. The strut brace straps the top of the shocks together, where chassis braces strap the bottom together, underneath the car - so yes, they are different.

They do improve handling a little, i've never had one myself so I can't tell you first hand, but I don't think they will make a whole lot of difference, it will only really make a difference under hard cornering, other than that its just a bit more under bonnet 'bling'.

  6. Ive put off fronting my opinion until now since so many other people seem to like it, but its definately not my cup of tea. It does look hella mean though and for once its actually a wolf in wolf's clothing unlike many other cars of ours.

  7. A definition of rice:

'To excessively modify and augment the physical appearance of sub compact economy vehicles in an attempt to make it them fast. Examples include unsightly body kits, oversised mufflers, (which are actually detremental to performance) neon lighting, thousands of decals, and of course, twenty inch rims which are far too heavy for these vehicles to handle.'

This car really doesn't fit into that category I dont feel. Unlike other genuine rice-mobiles though, Besty's car does have the performance to back up the looks. ;)

  8. Induction wise, definately go for the Prolex one. The Injen kit situates the filter right behind the radiator so it gets nothing but hot air anyway. You should get on fine without the scoop, you will still get plenty of cold air since it is located pretty close to the front grill.

Exhaust wise, It depends what you want. The Blueflame system will add more power, but will be louder than the Kazama. Also depending on the looks you are after, the Kazama is a classic jap style exhaust and the Blueflame is more subtle.
