  1. I am also trying to build a drift car with my IS200....although this is also my daily driver so it will not be going as awesomely extreme as yours!!!! (plus lacking funds ) Ive picked up an altezza LSD from scott (altezzasportsandprestige). Would you think this is suitable for drifting? Ive only just picked up my lex a couple of weeks ago and ive got into the whole thang in a big way :D So is anyone planing an LOC drift learning day?????
  2. Nice one ill try that when me ol' lex is back from the spray shop! LOC rules! i might just have to go GOLD
  3. nah i just checked all my brakes and painted the calipers the other day. they all seemed fine. So are ball joints expensive/hard to replace?
  4. Once again another problem with my battered lex! How can you tell if your ball joints are going? When i pull into my driveway (full right lock) i hear a fairly loud knock just once. I dont know if this is anything to do with the ball joints but thats what im thinking! Any advice?
  5. Can anyone tell me how to adjust the hand break? I have to pull it up real hard on hills or itd roll away? Do the rear disks have integrated drums for the Hand brake? Thanks Dudes!
  6. *blonde moment* just realised!!!!!
  7. Cheers guys! just out of interest....whats an aftermarket HU?
  8. How on earth do you get this d*mn head unit off my IS200! Area 51 must be easier to get into! My current unit doesnt work....ive got hold of another one just needs swapping....please help!
  9. Hello everyone i have jus got myself a bargain IS200 the only problem being the mileage on the engine 130K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As the rest of the car is mechanically sound, except the clunky 1st 2 2nd gearbox! i will be wanting to either turbo or supercharge this car but im sure the engine will not be able to handle the boost with this kind of mileage. Although it does have full service history it has lived in the centre of london, therefore alot of stop start driving. Although i mainly use it for motorway driving i want to get into the drifting motorsport. So back on topic my question is, would you recommend sourcing a low mileage engine and simply replacing or can i get away with changing the cylinders and head gaskets etc, basically giving it a good gutting! Please let me know your ideas and knowledge on the is200 engine. How strong are they? What sort of power levels can they handle on stock internals? What aftermarket internals are available? Many Thanks guys!
